1 out of 5 eggsNo good after 4 Months of light use

Pros: Small, light

Cons: won't hold a bit, battery won't hold a charge. NO customer support from B&D

Other Thoughts: Didn't purchase this from Newegg, sorry but got it locally. wouldn't have mattered though. the drill isn't worth a dollar besides 70 bucks.
Still trying to this day to get an answer from B & D. It's been almost 6 months and no replys by phone or emails!! Just sent CEO a nasty letter!!

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Light Drill

Pros: Very lightweight, led that lights up the work, fast charge time, good balance in hand. Main reason I bought it was its small build and lightweight.

Cons: Not very strong at all, but a good bit stronger then a powered screwdriver. I bought this to lighten my tool bag for work. I'm a home security tech, got tired of carrying around my heavy Dewalt 18v drill for screwing screws. My first use I ran into thick sheet rock wall with fur strips, using 3/4" paddle bit drill kept stalling. Then drilling into floor I ran into old 1' thick support beam using my 3', 1/4" drill bit. Drill kept stalling, killing the battery completely in 4 minutes not breaking through. This was the very first use with a full charge. Took 1 minute to drill through Sheetrock (compared to 5 seconds with other drill). Sheetrock is not drywall.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's good for very lightweight drilling and a strong screwdriver. I found it odd my first week I had to pull out my heavier drill almost every job. Usually I don't drill so many holes in my jobs. I would have probably taken it back to sears if my daughter hadn't drawn all over the box. Drill has on sale $10 off last week at Sears.

5 out of 5 eggsgood lil drill

Pros: Compact

Cons: none.
Its not a super strong drill it is adjustable

Other Thoughts: i work at a furniture store this is the most cost effective compact /lightweight 12v cordless drill on the market. I would not change this drill a single bit!

5 out of 5 eggsExceeds Expectations

Pros: Compact (fits in tight spaces), lightweight, decent torque, well balanced, built-in light, easy to modulate speed, lithium battery

Cons: Difficult to get chuck to grip small diameter bits. Sometimes have to reseat several times. Not entirely unexpected at this price point.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am very satisfied with this addition to my small collection of weekend warrior tools. Handles everything I have thrown at it in the light/medium category. Still have a trusty corded drill for tough jobs. Only includes one battery which is fine given technology (lithium) as can top off anytime without memory effect.

3 out of 5 eggsSmall But Heavy Duty

Pros: Solid Drill/Driver for it's size with plenty of battery life for it's torque.

Cons: I didn't research this drill gun enough as the subject line is misleading. When I see 12v driver I think of a 1/2"-5/8" chuck with a nominal voltage (working voltage) around ~12v and not a max voltage of 12v with a 3/8" chuck.

Other Thoughts: Since Black & Decker is made by the same people as DeWalt I unfortunately assumed reasonable marketing practices and took the 12v Max as nominal, bone head mistake on my part. When other screw guns are rated nominal this is a very shady practice marketing wise that I normally only see in Audio gear and some other niches, I learned a valuable lesson here I won't make again.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: SMALL, light, handles nice!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: No case etc, but for $40 if the battery stays good for a year it's a great tool.

5 out of 5 eggspacks a punch!

Pros: wow. quite torquey for only a 12v drill. the box says the battery will last over 500 days and remain at full charge. ( i have only owned the drill for a few days the date of manfacture on the battery says 2010 and i received it as a christmas gift 2011. so im assuming the battery is at least a year old. and when i plugged it into the charger ( book says it takes 3 - 5 hours to fully charge ) it was topped off in less than 20 minutes. i wont charge it again untill the battery dies and ill rewrite a review. led light is great and can be triggered with out spinning the drill. with full charge my hand is not strong enough to stop the drill and i have strong hands( lotta torque ! ) . small enough to fit in tight spaces over all length ( with supplied bit installed ) is less than 9 inches.

Cons: max speed only 600 rpms. unsure of runtime of battery. but for an average around the house user ( putting up picture frames / building book shelves ) im sure this drill will be more than enough.

Other Thoughts: over all . im impressed. i wouldnt have purchased this because of the 12v number and the brand. but now that i own it im happy to show it off to my carpenter / maintence buddies.
