Fills in the frequency range that my exisiting Yamaha aw-350's couldn't quite hit. Cons: Sound quality isn't the best; too much midrange. The Yamaha's have a better sound overall and can get louder without distortion, however if i didn't already have the Yamaha's I would probably think the sound quality is fine...the Yamaha's are just that good. Other Thoughts: I bought these soley for the 8" woofer. I bought the Yamaha aw-350's from newegg last year, and while they sound terrific, they just don't have quite as much bass as i would like. These things definately give some good bass, however the overall sound isn't as full and rich as the Yamaha's. I'm running them off a basic Sherwood receiver (also purchased from newegg) so I only have basic bass and treble adjustments.
