1 out of 5 eggsLogitech not what they used to be

Pros: Good brand.....or so I thought.

Cons: Even with Windows volume at 100, the switch turned all the way up, the volume level was pitiful and zero bass out of the subwoofer. I really expected better than this out of Logitech. They used to make such great stuff

5 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: These are good speakers for the price. They sound nice on low and high volumes.

Cons: Not as nice as Logitech Z-2300.

Other Thoughts: I bought these to replace the Z-2300 set that died. They are not as nice but the Z-2300 was overkill.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: I haven't decided yet

Cons: Satellites sound tinny. Subwoofer is almost pointless. No Aux port.

Other Thoughts: First of all let me preface this by saying I'm a huge fan of logitech products. I have a Z2300 2.1 speaker system in my home office that I've used for over five years and still sounds amazing. But I have to say that I'm dissapointed with the Z313 system. I purchased these speakers to use at work. I was replacing a really cheap AR system whose speakers were actually blown out by my laptop audio output. I didn't want to purchase a powerful system for use in a shared office so I thought these would fit the bill. The AR system (while lacking in performance) had a few convenient features that I had come to appreciate. The volume control came with an auxiliary jack which allowed me to simultaneously use the speakers with my laptop and my desktop computers. The controller also came with a control for the sub-woofer which allowed me to increase (or decrease) the bass response as needed. The Logitech system comes with neither of these features. I was willing to overlook these short comings until I actually heard the speakers. The satellite speakers sound as if the treble is cranked to the max while the bass response was almost non-existent. I though maybe the problem could be corrected by adjusting the EQ settings on my computer but connecting my iPod yielded the same results. It was so bad that I eventually replaced the Logitech sub-woofer with the old AR unit creating sort of a AR/Logitech Frankensystem. Very disappointing.

5 out of 5 eggsJust great for my office

Pros: Excellent sound when the volume is low. You don't miss a bit of the music when it's turned down. And there is no distortion when it's cranked up. I can even crank it up and here it all over my shop which is below my office but I bought it just for my office. I have a huge system for my shop. I like the control pod that can sit next to my keyboard. I depend on Logitech for quality products. Thanks

Cons: none

2 out of 5 eggsProduces Random Noise

Pros: I was very happy with these speakers for a while. Good bass. I'm a causal listener and they were fine.

Cons: These speakers started producing a noise that I would describe as sounding like the noise you hear when wind blows by a microphone. I was able to get it to stop by pulling the jack out of the sound card and touching the tip - it was as if I had to discharge a static build-up or something. Sometimes that helped. Other times, it didn't. The sound was very noticeable when no other sound was being produced but could even be heard when playing music if you listened for it. You didn't have to listen very hard to hear it.

Other Thoughts: It is interesting that in all of the negative reviews on this product, the manufacturer has not responded. I checked the 'mfgr responses' checkbox when I searched the reviews and there were NO reviews.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bang For Buck 2.1 Setup

Pros: Price to quality sound ratio is really

These things put out some really good sound for the $30 I paid. Got mine from the other site for that price. I'd still of paid $50 if I had no choice.

I'm no audiophile but I can say these are good speakers and produce some powerful sound. The sub is enough for desktop/small office or room.

Build quality and style of speakers is acceptable. Cable lengths were fine. Simple installation. Nicely packaged.

Cons: Not docking an egg but here's a few things I don't care for

I'm not a huge fan of the volume controller that comes attached to the cables. I can live with it though.

No bass volume is disappointing. It would of made the attached volume controller more useful if their going to insist on this design.

Other Thoughts: Really impressed with these things. Especially for the price.

Highly recommended for anyone on a budget for some good quality bang to buck 2.1 desktop speakers.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Speakers

Pros: Cheap, good to great sound, pretty designs, and arrived fast. Mostly clear sound.

Cons: Sometimes the sound can be scratchy when playing different types of music. However, using the equalizer in your sound options can fix this.

Other Thoughts: These speakers seem to be well worth buying.

4 out of 5 eggsawesome sound!

Pros: clear and crisp sound, satellites look and sound awesome, sub is so powerful it vibrates the floor within a 20ft radius at full volume.

Cons: bass gets a little distorted at higher volumes but is to be expected.

Other Thoughts: i bought this set locally about a month ago to replace my aging Advent system. im really glad i did as these speakers sound a lot better than i had expected

4 out of 5 eggsGet what you pay for

Pros: Well, these speakers were cheap, but they actually sound a lot better than I was expecting

Cons: I wish there was a volume control for the bass, and I also wish there was a mic input on the controller next to the headset input, but they are low end speakers.
