Light up your life with this 4oz companion that is 7 inches long and provides 40 lumens of power for 8 hours of use on a full charge. This is the most popular of our hybrid lights. It is also waterproof, floats and fits so well in any glove box or favorite drawer.

When the solar collector has discharged or dimmed, simply recharge using any light source including the sun (which is always best); ambient or artificial light. Then store, use and comfortably repeat the process as needed. The HL40 can be stored for 7 years and will retain 90% of the original power provided by two back up #2032 coin cell lithium batteries; which will provide 50 hours of backup power when called upon.

Can run on either solar energy or 3V lithium-ion batteries. Either way, this leads to much improved power consumption and increased longevity. The flashlight is also surprisingly compact, so it can fit in a lot of convenient storage spaces. There is even an indicator light that lets you know if the flashlight is charging by way of solar energy. Cons: None I can see. Did you find this review helpful? Pros: Light weight, good clicking button, indicator lights are bright, rubber front and back helps with shock adsorption if dropped. Cons: none Other Thoughts: These flashlights are great. I keep one in the dash for each car and don't worry about having a dead flashlight from the glove box. I also have one on the window sill at home and works every time. The backup battery option is great too but I have not had to use it. It's nice a light for taking for walks. Mine came with mylon lanyard. Did you find this review helpful?
