Citizen Watch: Citizen BM8240-03E Men's watch features brushed finish gold plated stainless steel case with push and pull crown. This great watch also comes with high quality Eco Drive Japanese quartz movement, scratch resistant mineral crystal, water resistant up to 30 meters, 8 inches brown leather strap with buckle clasp and black dial with day-date display and gold tone hands and markers.
Pros: I consider this a dress watch, unassuming but still sophisticated, so the lack of extra gizmos that would make this watch gaudy are not a shortcoming. The solar power face, which you would never know, is the only gadget to be found. This also makes it cheaper, lighter, thinner and overall smaller (good if you have small wrists and tricked out watches dwarf and exaggerate your arm). Build quality seems good and the leather band is amazingly soft and smooth.
Cons: I hate the calendar. It seems that all Citizen Watches or maybe all watches (I'm not a watch connoisseur) won't change the day of the week but it will change the day of the month when the watch strikes midnight. Apparently the day of the week is synced in a way as to not update between 9:00pm-1:00am. Why one and not the other?
Other Thoughts: The crown is ridiculously smooth and there is little to no tactile response (and inline with the unmarred motif). Thankfully I have finger prints.
