This Worx WG303 16" Electric Chain Saw is a manufacturer refurbished chain saw that is guaranteed to meet or exceed the performance of a brand new unit and is as powerful as a gas chain saw with its 3.5-HP, 14.5-Amp electic motor. The WG303 features a tool-free chain replacement and auto-tensioning system that allows anyone to operate the chain saw and eliminates over-tightening, extending chain life.

Unlike gas powered chain saws, this electric chain saw doesn't require you to mix oil and gas, and it includes an automatic oiler that provides constant lubrication to the bar and chain. With a 6.75-ounce oil reservoir and oil level indicator, you can be assured that your chain saw will always be lubricated.

the Worx WG303 16" Electric Chain Saw was built for safety and comfort. The built-in safety chain break stops the chain when improper contact is made, protecting you from kickback. Also, the over-molded rear handle and the ergonomic front handle provides optimum comfort.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Easy and lightweight
Blade is still sharp after cutting up a huge tree

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: People are having problems getting it to work. The safety must be either pushed or pulled so that the chainsaw will operate.
It's fairly logical, and I hope everyone tested this before trying to contact Worx.
I had this for over 9 months waiting for a project when a tree came down. Huge oak tree with a diameter of about 15" at it's largest. Cut it up with no problems. I'm very happy with this saw that's for sure.

5 out of 5 eggsRefurb is good-as-new

Pros: Works great and was cheap!
Has an auto-oiler which is what you want
Used twice and its already paid for it's self!

Cons: Corded...but that's what i wanted for my yard

Other Thoughts: shipping was fast, there was a little oil in the box but not bad. No problems getting started. Probs might be related to the kick back thing the other review mentioned.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Electric Chaing Saw

Pros: Powerful and cuts great. Once I figured out that the chain knob on the side needed to be tightened all the way down, it worked flawlessly. When I pulled it out of the box it looked brand new.

Cons: Like everyone else mentioned, the packaging could be better but it survived.

Other Thoughts: Since I am reviewing the product and not the vendor that shipped it, I gave it five stars for an inexpensive great product.

5 out of 5 eggsWorx great!

Pros: electric, great for stop, start and stack cutting up small stuff for the stove that would make a gas powered saw unwieldy and dangerous.
Much more powerful than I thought it would be.
Great price!

Cons: It ain't made for lumberjackin'!

Other Thoughts: So there is no styr-ee-foam packing...it's a chainsaw!!

1 out of 5 eggsUgh!

Pros: None

Cons: Dead on arrival. Took MANY emails back and forth just to get an RMA #. Paid $17 to ship it back. They have received the broken chainsaw back, but have not contacted me for days about shipping a replacement. Probably another series of emails or phone calls.

Other Thoughts: So far very poor customer service from this company. I would never buy anything from them again. Numerous people have the same problem with items from them not working and cost a lot of money to ship it back. I hope to get a chainsaw that works from them on this next try. Otherwise I will probably fight them through the credit card company rather than pay to send another one back.

4 out of 5 eggsWorx works fine...

Pros: I am not a lumberjack. However, this saw works fine for a part-time user when needed. Uses bar oil at a decent rate.

Cons: See other thoughts...

Other Thoughts: I am going to assume the negative feedback comes from folks who do not understand chainsaws. I will bet the "chain brake safety bar" issue was not understood by the owners. Move it to the operating position and the saw may impress you.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: If it would of started then I could of at least had a pro but since it was DOA there is none.

Cons: Just like Gunho I thought I would give this a try to save some money being refurbished and all. This thing was shipped in a brown box with some paper so there was no real packing. Thing would not even start. Tested it on different circuits and different cords. Poor refurbishment from this company. Stay away and spend your money on a new model at least they probably start them. No quality control.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well so far

Pros: Easy to operate and powerful enough for what I needed to do. A lot quieter then a gas saw. No gas to worry about.

I lost a number of 8 inch oak limbs in a storm and needed a saw. I debated between an electric and gas and settled on the electric for it's ease of use. I have had a gas saw in the past but always found it a pain to use, never knowing if it would start or not.

I used it about 3 hours as soon as I unboxed it and read the instructions. It worked right out of the box and it had no trouble with the 8 inch branches I was cutting. The chain stayed sharp and tight the whole time I was cutting.

I would consider taking down trees up to 16 inches with this but could see wanting something more powerful when cutting that size tree into logs.

Cons: Did not come with any chain oil. There was grease/oil residue on the handle which had leaked through the box when it was delivered but did not amount to anything. It has a cord so there are times that is a hassle.

Other Thoughts: The saw seemed about as powerful as other 30cc 14 inch gas saws I have used. For $60 this was a good deal and even if it never worked again I feel like I got my money's worth.

1 out of 5 eggsBroken

Pros: Nice looking electric chain saw-looked new

Cons: Didn't work out of the box. Tried several times on different outlets and cords- wont even turn on.
Packaging was a big box with several pieces of brown paper with saw floating around inside, but see no damage.

Other Thoughts: Now I get to spend more money to ship it back for a replacement. Hopefully it will be worth it.
