Pros: I purchased this inverter to upgrade from a smaller 350w model. I used it on a road trip this past summer and was pleased with the results. It didn't overheat once. The USB port allowed me to charge my gps and 2 cell phones phones without the need for any special adaptors. Its nice to have a LCD readout of the battery voltage and it has a shutdown function to save the voltage from dropping too low and needing a jump start. I highly reccomend a nicer than standard car battery if you want to use this without the car running, I have an Optima car battery.


I used 4 gauge wires with an inline 200amp ANL fuse to install into the hatch area of the car (car audio stuff). I like how it came with battery clamp cables and didn't even try to pass off a cigarette lighter plug. Car cigerette lighters have small gauge wiring and are typically 10 to 15 amps max capacity. Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Be sure to shop around and get the proper wattage for your application. Its always better to use less than the max wattage and run at a lower duty cycle.

Pros: I bought this inverter for my pop-up camper so that the kids could watch DVD's when the weather gets bad. Worked like a charm.
