3 out of 5 eggsGood/Affordable Cable for Light Use

Pros: This cable works well for my application -- connecting a mixer with balanced 1/4" outs to a powered speaker with XLR inputs. This is a mostly fixed installation that will not see a lot of connecting and reconnecting. The cable material seems to of good quality, flexible and rubbery, but tough.

Cons: These cables are light, so may not be able to take abuse of the road or constant plugging and unplugging. Strain relief is modest. Again, for a mostly fixed installation being done on a budget, these cables are a good choice.

Other Thoughts: Note that this cable does not have molded ends. You can open each end (yes, the XLR, too) without tools to inspect--handy to be able to do when there's a problem. Also, it makes these cable repairable, if you are so inclined.
