1 out of 5 eggsVery Poor Quality

Pros: None.

Cons: Does not work.

Other Thoughts: Extremely poor quality product. Had problems where the light would work some times and not others after approximately 6 months. After 12 months will not work at all. Do not waste your money. Wish I could give it zero eggs!

2 out of 5 eggsSwitch has failed early!

Pros: Very compact light, (seemingly) rugged case, bright beam with focus control. Single AA battery.

Cons: The rear integrated switch has failed after only a couple dozen cycles. It's been used as a nightstand flashlight, for occasional trips to the backyard and the breaker box. The flashlight is now unusable.

It's not acceptable for an item designed (and marketed) like this one to be unreliable because of poor QC or design.

Other Thoughts: As for why the switch failed, my opinion is that the design is flimsy. The switchcap contact button is a broad pad covered with soft-ish rubber. Underneath, it feels like the switch is a rather narrow, non-rugged microswitch of the latching variety, and it sometimes feels like an actuation of the light results in an off-center push of the switch body. It's possible that this design is prone to loading the switch unit in such a way that it will fail, especially if it's PCB-mounted (which is exactly what it feels like).

An improvement might be realized by including a different rubber fitting under the switchcap contact pad, one meant to center and distribute the force of actuation. That is, if the actual microswitch isn't itself faulty to begin with.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing for what it is

Pros: Tiny, bright, great beam width control, 1 AA battery, I feel awesome every time I take this thing out.

Cons: Brightness is not controllable.

Other Thoughts: I love this thing. I have about 4 of them, give them as presents and everyone who uses mine wants one.

I carry it in my laptop bag (without a battery in it) along with extra batteries, just in case.

Lots of people complain about the battery life, which is dumb. I'm not sure how you could get as much brightness for longer from one AA.

If you need an emergency light, something to keep in your car or hiking bag, this is an amazing find for $25.

4 out of 5 eggsworth 30 or less

Pros: This really is a good flashlight like reviews say.

Cons: At one year with serious abuse in boiler drums, My lanyard broke, I am rigging my new one now so its tied and not stitched. It started giving me trouble not coming on and going out, I would have to tap it on something but I was able to take it apart rebuild/bend re solder connections not sure if that's a con or a pro

Other Thoughts: If better let me know.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good!

Pros: Solid construction and uber bright light! Focus capability is a nice plus too. Really like that it only uses 1 AA battery and with the adjustable brightness, it can last quite a while without needing to replace it.

Cons: Only negative is that the switch doesn't always work now after only moderate use. You hear and feel it click but the light doesn't click off.

Other Thoughts: Overall, its been a good solid light. its bright enough to light up the neighbors house from a few hundred feet away. DONT LOOK INTO THE BEAM!!!

5 out of 5 eggsSmall Lightweight

Pros: Heavy duty small lightweight flashlight. Comes with straps and additional space to tie your own strap. VERY bright! I haven't tested the battery life yet but so far so good.

Cons: Dimming the light is a little tricky but not really. You just hold the only button until its dimmed to your likes.

5 out of 5 eggsmust have

Pros: I've bought four of these, I've had two for a year and was super excited when they went on sale again.

This light is super-bright and compact.

The SOS function, I can't really see coming in handy but I'm sure I'll be glad to have it if it does.

I keep a battery in it backwards while it sits and turn it around when I need it. The light travels with me in my everyday carry and has come in handy many times.

The battery life seems to be decent seeing as it takes one AA. I've seen others complain about this but I disagree.

Cons: Getting the SOS function not to happen is a little tricky when you first get the light but that's about it.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a reading light, something to brighten a room or long battery life, go elsewhere.
This light is compact and bright and it does both extremely well.
