5 out of 5 eggsAmazing value over time

Pros: It's a very reliable light, economical, and contributes virtually no heat to a room filled with electronics. Excellent spot lighting, or when used in combination with other bulbs. If the bulb lives as long as the manufacturer claims, it will pay for itself in savings on replacement bulbs alone, but the power savings will be even more substantial.

Cons: As other reviewers have noted, this shouldn't be used as the main area light of the room, unless used in conjunction with others in a series. Still gets five stars as it shouldn't be expected to fulfill every function.

3 out of 5 eggsLet there be light

Pros: Low power consumption, and good price for a 60 watt equivalent. The light produces casts a nice glow in our porch area.

Cons: LED's shine down and out, but not up very well. It takes about 2 seconds for the light to come on after flipping the switch. Fast walkers may trip on something as they enter the room.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product - Wave of the Future

Pros: Very nice product. I was itching to try out an LED Lightbulbs so I got my daily newegg e-mail and saw these on there. I bought 2 to try them out and I am impressed. the 3 year warranty is nice too - one reason I bought these

Cons: These lights are a little dimmer than I thought. They are not as bright as incandescent bulbs, but this is not a complaint, but every new technology will need some development time obviously - I am satisfied with this product 100%

Other Thoughts: This will be the way the future is going. I am a project coordinator at my job and we are about to start a comprehensive lighting upgrade project. The contractor which is a certified energy conservation company said that the availability of incandescent materials is rapidly becoming scarce - the price has gone up around 35% - we are more conscious about recycling, but still we need to move forward. Again I am sure that later on this will be the way to go vs, CFL's

    5 out of 5 eggsNice!!

Pros: Only 7 watts, adequate light output, decent color. More light and better warm white color then other LEDs I have tryed. Good Price, quality of light and bulb comparable to other more expensive bulbs

Cons: Not Dimmable, not omnidirectional although for my use that is better(in a recessed celling can)

Other Thoughts: I have 12 recessed cans around the inside and outside of my front door that had 60 watt R20 incandescent bulbs. These LEDs are a great replacement. I have had them for about six months and they all still work fine. I say this because last year I bought twelve LED bulbs from Lowes and within a month two of them whent out, so I returned them. I like to leave these lights on all night and now I can without feeling quilty. Hopefully they will out last atleast their three year warranty, so far so good

1 out of 5 eggsNot this one!

Pros: Ok, it does produce light at low wattage,.

Cons: But its only directional,. It only shines light over 50% of the globe ie, only projecting light in 50% of the potential directions,. so think of it like a spot light, not like a light bulb, even though they have gone to great lengths to make it look like a lightbulb.

Brightness, Its a bit dimmer than i had hoped,..

Light quality / color, This is where this bulb falls flat on its face. the light this bulb (warm white) produces is kind of a greenish light, it reminds me of light from a mercury bulb ok for industrial settings,. but it looks horrid, and i do mean horrid,. lighting the interior of my house,. Im a tool guy, half taken apart gadgets litter my house,. Im in no way even remotely aware of the concept of interior decorating,. And I cant stand the color of light this thing produces,. And the way it makes my walls look,.. sickly,.

Other Thoughts: Iv decided to throw this bulb in my emergency supply box, if power goes out ill switch to my little solar genny, and plug this in to give me low wattage light in an emergency,. otherwise my hopes of lighting my house with LED year round are squashed yet again. (5 LED Lightbulbs tested so far, none have passed muster) though i hear some one is about to realease a game changer,.

    5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good light bulb at a nice price point. Cost next to a penny a day to run it for 12 hours at night. Great for front entrance of your residence.

    Cons: None.

    5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Seems very well made, works well. Good color, good distribution of light.

Cons: In my opinion closer to a 40-50 watt equivalent, but to be expected based on lumens rating (I have the "warm white" model, "cool white" rated as outputing more lumens)

3 out of 5 eggsColor is not quite warm

Pros: Tried this out hoping it would replace an incandescent bulb in a hanging light fixture. It is lower power and bright and it does not get too hot either. Over price is a good value compared to current competing products.

Cons: The color is not what they claim. Warm WHITE is probably more around 4k than 3k which is the main draw back to any LED fixtures at the moment. This bulb is still cooler than most CFL's which are cooler than incandescent in contrast.

Other Thoughts: If you don't mind having a cooler color, than this is worth getting, if you want true warm color than probably not.
