5 out of 5 eggsAwesome: very bright

Pros: run coo and these are bright! Brighter than some higher-watt bulbs I have. No ribbed heat sink, so a bit lighter than others with thick heat sinks, etc.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I really like the quality of the light and the brightness--totally blows away the CFLs I replaced, on all dimensions; brightness, safety, power factor, costs. Will be getting more!

4 out of 5 eggsKind of slow and hot but works

Pros: Use very little power and last a long time

Cons: They get hot fast and take about a second to come on.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Use very little power.

Cons: They do get quite hot. Do not use them in enclosed lighting. I got flickering out of one until I moved it to an open light. They have about a second delay before comeing on.

Other Thoughts: None

4 out of 5 eggsComfortable Lighting

Pros: Very Pleasing to the eye and what most of us are use to with incandescent lighting a fraction of the use cost.

Cons: Initial Cost of lamp, think of the long haul

Other Thoughts: For lights that are used for long duration of time or all evening or through the night.

3 out of 5 eggsNot the best LEDs but better that CFL

Pros: Use very little power. No DOAs in the pack (I bought 2 packs)

Cons: Gets very hot if used in enclosed areas like overhead light fixtures with no ventalation. Had the one heat up and start to flicker and I moved to a light with more ventalation and had better luck. They have a slight delay when turning them on of like a second.

Other Thoughts: The Sylvania and GE ones are better but at a higher cost. These do the job but have more limitations. Use in more open locations so they can cool and you will have better luck.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Deal

Pros: These are great replacements for 40 watt Incandescent (old style) light bulbs or 13 watt CFL (the swirly fluorescents) they give off a good deal of light for only 6.5 watts of power usage (rounded to 7, but is actually 6.5 watts). I moved into an apartment where for the first time I have to pay my own share of the electric bill. I have always wanted to jump onto the LED bandwagon but now I finally have. I am glad I went with the "Warm White" instead of the "Bright White" I purchased 3 boxes of 6 LED bulbs each for a total of 18 LED light bulbs to replace every bulb in the apartment. With a 3 year warranty is nice but I hope the promise of the 40,000 hours is true.

Cons: **Still a tad on the pricy side, but when NwEg had a deal on them the price per unit was good enough to finally get them. (about $8.50 per bulb when I got them)

**They do take a half a second to come on when they are first turned on, Not a big deal for me any my roommates though

Other Thoughts: I think these will be great as the price continues to fall for LEDs in general
