3 out of 5 eggsmissing belt clip

Pros: solid one piece construction, wont break, that was the buying decision, sharp blade

Cons: didn't come with belt sheath as described
doesn't throw well

Other Thoughts: other than missing sheath, great buy

5 out of 5 eggsA whole new meaning to "burying the hatchet".

Pros: - 3/8" solid steel, full tang construction.
- Well designed, thick axe head.
- Very sharp out of the box (almost shaving sharp).
- Spike seems nigh indestructible.
- Handle is fairly comfortable and its length is generous.

Cons: - Sheath is largely junk; it was already coming apart by day #3. I sustained a good nick from the spike while carrying it; I recommend throwing it away as soon as the package arrives.
- Finish is easily marred by the sheath.
- 2.75 pounds of solid steel makes this somewhat difficult to throw.

Other Thoughts: I've heard nothing buy rave reviews about this 'hawk so I had to try one out for myself; the sub-$100 price point made it an easy choice.
Out of the box, the edge of the axe head took the hair off my arm with a little pressure; paper was a breeze to slice. The spike hasn't been stopped by anything I've come across yet.
This is the first throwing weapon I've ever purchased so I don't know if it's optimized for throwing, but the tomahawk smashed straight through a piece of 3" plywood and then knocked it over. I repeated this feat twice more at a distance of 15 feet before I ran out of wood and discovered my throwing arm was pretty tired. Not anything I would want to do repeatedly, but I'm sure the damage inflicted by a solid hit would drop something immediately.
The only complaint I've had so far is the sheath that shipped with the tomahawk: it's a piece of junk. Falling apart by Day 3, it became a hazard when carrying the hawk. Not enough of a complaint to take an egg off, however.
