This feeder is provided with mounting brackets, screws and T-nuts for installation on a patio or footbridge, or can be placed adjacent to any fishpond. A waterproof cover is provided for outdoor use. This cover not only prevents dampening of the food inside, but it prevents water from entering the working components of the appliance. This feeder features a digital timer with battery backup for programmed times, a manual override switch, and 8 program settings per day. This feeder is a low voltage appliance (24VAC) that can be installed outdoors or even in an indoor environment (a power transformer to convert 100VAC to 24VAC is included). The maximum power consumption is 12 watts. While this feeder is ideal for feeding outdoor fish, it has many other uses as well. It can be used to dispense dry food for other animals - or for feeding birds outdoors with any kind of birdseed. This feeder can be used even if you aren't feeding animals - use it to add chemical pellets in swimming pools. Or use it to add broad-spectrum bioactive cultures that have the ability to digest and liquefy organic wastes in septic tanks!
