Pros: I expect a long battery life due to the use of LEDs instead of incandescent bulbs.

Cons: The battery holders are poorly made. The rechargable AA cells that I use in my camera and elsewhere will not fit, the holders are a bit too small. Using throw-away batteries was not a problem

Pros: Very bright, great little utility lamp when it works

From the moment I put in the batteries the second mode (to be used as a lantern) would flicker on and off, both other modes (flashlight/nightlight) work perfectly but lantern either will flicker or not even turn on at all.

Other Thoughts: failure to list lumens for each setting, especially regular flashlight mode makes every flashlight for sale suspect. What are you hiding by withholding a standard, comparable way to measure flashlight performance? Anything less than 200 lumens for a 2AA torch, or more for larger (3AA, 2-4C, 2-8D, etc) units is useless under low or no light conditions unless its intended use is as a novelty for a child or the uninformed. Gave it i egg for led, 2nd egg for manufacturer's attempt at multipurpose/multitasking.

Pros: Really bright thanx to led lights, all three functions work great.

Cons: None, batteries last in this bad boy!
