Pros: Stays put, doesn't require suction cup on windshield

Cons: delicate grip, but not an issue

Other Thoughts: I've tried suction cups on windshields and weighted bags, but none is as reliable as this A/C vent mount. It's full adjustable to acoomodate any orientation or jack placment. It wiggles a little when you push on it, but I don't find that an issue with use. Works great with my Galaxy Nexus GSM.

Pros: It works better than suction cup holders-barely.All the parts around the ports and buttons are easily adjusted and in good positions to give access to any of my accessories.

Cons: I put this in a 2003 Ford Ranger. It does block part of the stereo but not too big a deal,it's things that are already adjusted where I leave them anyhow.
It's kind of a pain to get the holders into the vent to begin with and then they dont want to stay,the phone keeps flopping forward during bumps or accelorations.It seems like the little bumps on the connectors never quite get a grip on the vents vanes.May be specific to my make and model vehicle so I still gave 4 stars because otherwise its a well built device.

Other Thoughts: Might work in your car better than mine.

Pros: Great design. I hate suction cups on the windshield so I wanted something that went on the dash. I drive a full size GMC truck (air vents are up high on the dash) so the mount keeps the phone in perfect view.
You can swivel and rotate the mount in any direction or angle you like and then tighten down the lock ring on the rear to hold that position, mine has not moved from the locked position since I installed it on day #1.
All points of contact on the phone have soft foam/rubber grips to protect the phone's finish and the two supports at the bottom are spaced perfectly to not block the USB or HDMI port. Side grips also do not block or cover the volume control.
Another upside to the vent mount vs windshield mount is that the phone stays cooler when the A/C or cabin fan is on. With all electronics, cooler temps = better performance.

Cons: If you're vents physically turn left or right to adjust air flow direction instead of having adjustable guide vanes, you could experience some sway in your device due to the weight of the phone and the centrifugal force created by going around turns (at normal speeds). This effect is damped by the width of the mount itself which limits the amount of sway which can happen. To be completely honest, this does happen in my truck however it is so minimal, I barely notice it most of the time and the angle is still well within view. Definitely not a deal breaker for me.

Other Thoughts: I waited too long to order this. I have already pre-ordered the HTC Evo 4G LTE and am hoping that this mount will also be compatible with my new phone when it arrives. However, based off of the photos of the Evo 4G LTE, it looks like I may have a slight clearance issue with the side securing pads and the USB charging port on the Evo 4G LTE. I mention this in the "Other" category because it should not (and does not) have a negative effect on my review since the mount was not designed with that phone in mind.
