Pros: I didn't have much use for an MP3 player that could do other tasks so this was a perfect fit for me. I owned the same model as this. I loved, loved, loved my iPod. It got me through most work days. One of the best features was with 160GB, I was able to take my entire music library with me everywhere.

Cons: Getting videos to the right format can be a challenge. It took me forever to find 3rd party software to do this, but we're good now. I wish the radio feature was available without the radio adapter.

Other Thoughts: I didn't receive this product from this reseller. This review is based on my past purchase from another reseller.

Pros: - Large memory
- Has lasted over a year
- Brand name

Cons: - On the heavier side
- Price
- Apple can be a pain trying to get refunds/repairs

Other Thoughts: I knocked off two eggs for the price, since $250 for this iPod is obviously overpriced.

But, I'm mostly leaving this review to tell the person who recommended this over the iTouch (I have both), that they don't "basically do the same thing". Not at all. If you can live with a small HD, then go with the iTouch for sure. The whole POINT of the iTouch is its increased functionality.

Having owned both for a LONG time now, I much enjoy the iTouch more.

Other Thoughts: Owned this iPod for just over a year when it froze and stopped working. Went to the Apple store and got it diagnosed. The diagnosis? Dead. Unfixable. Why? Apple build the iPod classic with moving parts in the hard drive that are essentially GUARANTEED to break with normal use. Apparently, just walking with it in your pocket can render this device useless. This will be the last time i ever purchase an apple product. I'm sick and tired of their poor customer service and shoddy products. Do yourself a favor and get a zune.

Pros: Large Harddrive, nice screen.

Cons: Owned it for about six months and the harddrive took a dump on me. I'm not going to pay $325.00 (at the time I bought it how much it cost) then six months later pay another $125.00 for a new harddrive from Apple. Design your products to last Apple, not to make you more money in 6 months. Never buying another ipod again.

Pros: Clean running

Cons: Cost. First apple device.

Other Thoughts: I wish i could find a program other then itunes to play music.

Pros: - Incredibly large memory
-Nice format thats easy to navigate
-You hear things with the earphones you didn't hear before.
-Nice long memory if charged all the way and you put it on hold everytime you stop touching it and off when you aren't using it

Cons: -incredibly large memory you will probably never use
-If its hot outside and you put it on your pocket, when you take it out. its too hot so the heat sensing circle thing does work unless you push down just hard enough that it senses but not hard enough to push any buttons.
-Rather wide so its hard to pull out of your pocket, especially if you have a protective rubber case.

Other Thoughts: it would be a good buy for the average ipod user who just wants to listen to music and watch videos but if you want to do other things with your 200 bucks than just listen to music (which some other manufacturers offer as well at much lower prices) i would go with the itouch. much more function. it is more expensive. But its worth it.

i haven't watched any type of video on it yet so i have yet to see how it performs with video but i'm going to guess theres no lag. if there was any lag that would be pretty sad.

Pros: cheaper than ipod touch and basically does the same thing, but with 4x more storage. Perfect for my glove box and my alpine unit!

Cons: doesn't support flacs
