5 out of 5 eggsVery Good

Pros: This is a very good router. Set it up. Configured my internet connection and was online within the first 5 minutes of setting it up. Then comes the tweaking. You can forward ports, change the ip address for individual computers, the router itself, etc. It's a sweet router for the money. I never get disconnected. However, I have not tried using wireless yet. So I can not speak on behalf of that aspect of the router. However, if you plan to use this as a wired router, it works perfectly. You just have to do some tweaking to get it the way you like.

Cons: None really.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap

Cons: The product is flawed. I spent weeks going back and forth with email support and then live support. The local network connection is intermitent. From looking at the forum ant NetGear, at least 100 other customers reported the same problem. NetGear did not respond with any solution. One guy said he found the problem was a chip that overheated, and when he tore the router apart and put a fan/sink on it it fixed the problem. I personally have given up on NetGear and bought a different brand router.

3 out of 5 eggstwo tries to get it right

Comments: The first unit I got was dead within five minutes of plugging it in, tech agreed it was a power supply issue, so I got a replacement and it has worked pretty well. I noticed the replacement was cosmetically different than the first one, newer version perhaps. One complaint, my unit had a 20 dollar rebate from Netgear and three months later, I still have no rebate. There's a reason stuff like this is so cheap.....you get what you pay for.

1 out of 5 eggsVery poor item

Comments: i got this item because i needed a wireless connection for my toshiba tecra 9100 notebook and for the price, when i got the unit it work fine, but after an hour or so it started losing connection due to loss of power because the ac adapter fried, so after replacing the cheap ac adapter..it works fine but still having a problem with it connecting...probably shouldnt use it with a rca cable modem nor a emachines desktop computer..

3 out of 5 eggsRisky

Comments: It gets the job done, but not decently. @ 30' the connection was fine, however when a certain amount of stress was put onthe bandwidth the computer would freeze, this might have been caused by the adapter though, and this would happen sometimes every 5 minutes, and sometimes every 8 hours. However, my real peeve with this router is that is causes noticeable and signifigant interference with all of the TV's in the house.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Product for the money

Comments: I bought this router a month ago and have had a few problems with it. Overall it has been a good value for the money. The rebate dept. has left a lot to be desired.

5 out of 5 eggsVery smooth

Comments: Replaced my friend's crapfunctioning linksys router with one of these and it works perfectly, and especailly well for hosting a LAN(extremely low ping) and never kicks the wireless connection as the old router did. Adress reservation is a nice feature.

2 out of 5 eggs

Comments: I've had this router (v2) for over a month and I absolutely hate it. Set aside its appealing appearance and design of the router, it disconnects me quite often. TOO often. It disrupts a few programs even with port forwarding. I think the problem is the double firewall (which you cannot disable, only one) and it is preventing me from doing what I need to do. Overall, it plain sucks.
