5 out of 5 eggsexcellent wireless n

Pros: Great router, sleek look, decent stock firmware; more energy efficient that my old wrt54g

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: i purchased two of these elsewhere (locally) in case something went wrong with them. i run one as my dedicated home access point (stock firmware) and run the second as a client for my xbox 360 (dd-wrt firmware). both routers i bought were v3's and dd-wrt loaded as easily as upgrading to a new linksys firmware. so for 80 bucks you can not only get yourself a wireless n router but also a wireless n adapter for your 360.

the wireless n adapter alone for 360 costs 20 bucks more than two of these routers combined! what a joke! do yourself, and your wallet a favor, and by this router for your home and your 360.

google dd-wrt firmware, upgrade you wrt160n, set up client mode (instructions on dd-wrt wiki) and enjoy the speed of n at an excellent price point

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Router !

Pros: I purchased this to connect my PlayStation 3 so I can use TVERSITY in order to Stream or Transfer files accordingly, since I have a Dell Demension Desktop 300.
Also I purchased this so I can connect my G1 phone to wifi. I had an issue with it using the Wireless Mode: N ... & I found out that the G1 is only capable of using Wireless Mode: G.

The physical condition is Brand New....with no serious scrapes of dings.

Cons: No as of the moment...

Other Thoughts: If you have an issue... Customer Support is great!!!!
(Have the right attitude when you are calling)

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: After V2 firmware update has worked flawlessly @ 144 mbs. cruising net and 200-300 download speed. Pleasant surprise.

Cons: Unit was labeled V2 and came with V1.01 software. At first worked better on wireless but lost connection and pages on wired connection to desktop. Downloaded V1 software and lost both wired and wireless connection. would not setup using linksys, windows, intel proset or IE setup utilities.

Other Thoughts: Based on some blogs, I was fearful of the V2 firmware and was about to can it, so tried latest version of V2 w/direct load to router without any setup software. Figured all I had at that point was a trotline anchor. The thing started working like a charm on both wired and wireless connections and has continued to do so for over 2 weeks.

1 out of 5 eggsLinksys wrt160n V 2.0

Pros: none

Cons: Linksys, handled poorly, dragging out warranty on version 2 wrt160n, knowing it has a problem yet put it back onto the market

3 out of 5 eggsIts okay... I guess

Pros: It's 802.11n at 130 Mb/s

Cons: Its hardware rev. 2.0. They used a lesser quality chipset in this than the 1.0/1.1 WRT160N's
Can't run DD-WRT with the 2.0's...

Other Thoughts: You might rather go for the WRT 310N or a WRT 150N if you are looking for a cheap N router. These 2.0's seem to have a bunch of software troubles.
