5 out of 5 eggsVery good machine

Pros: Thin. Light. Great touchscreen. Good computing for price. Good design - solid. The several modes are very useful, esp. when watching videos.

Cons: More useful as a laptop than a tablet because it's still a little heavy for tablets.

Other Thoughts: A really great, useful laptop!

5 out of 5 eggsNice Machine

Pros: SSD, Gorilla Glass, and other rock solid features make it a real ultra book. Throw in the touchscreen and it'll make a Mac owner cry.

Cons: Not sure what's up with the exorbitant price here at newegg. I got mine at Best Buy for $750.

4 out of 5 eggsReview for ideaPad 13 by currencyconvert.co

Pros: So far this is one of the greatest think ultra books I've used!

Cons: I think battery life is much different from whats written but i could be wrong.

Other Thoughts: If you need to convert your currencies, use currency converter site currencyconvert.co

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ultrabook, good tablet

Pros: Battery life is very good, charges fast. Performance is great, the SSD. It's also fairly rugged - after three drops, only slight cosmetic damage. The touchscreen is very good.

Cons: Windows 8. :( And I wish it were a bit lighter.

Other Thoughts: Overall, it's a good device.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ultrabook

Pros: The 13 inch while many complain about its size is the perfect ultrabook screen size. I don't want to be squinting to read the tiny text of the 11 inch. If i wanted a 11 inch semi tablet product i would buy a Ipad. The keyboard is very responsive and is comfortable to type on for extended lengths of time. The laptop starts from being completly shut down in less than 5 seconds. Overall the laptop is worth the buy.

Cons: The only con I can think of is that it still uses the older 3rd generation of Ivy bridge intel processors. The laptop will probably be refreshed come Christmas time so if you can wait i would wait for that. Also I picked up the laptop from staples for 799$ and it came with 4 years of Microsoft office 365. So check around before you drop a grand on newegg.

Other Thoughts: Overall i will recommend this laptop to anyone who asks. The Laptop is 5 stars for being a laptop and probably 4 stars for being a Tablet. Like all of the professional reviews out there its a laptop first and tablet second.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Worth It

Pros: Good display, lightweight, starts and runs very fast

Cons: semi- loud fan, touchscreen not the best, the spacebar does not work sometimes

Other Thoughts: The spacebar on this laptop is awful. I'm not sure if this is a common issue with this entire line, but usually when typing a typical sentence, my spacebar fails me about 2-3 times. It literally does not work when hit. As you can imagine, this becomes extremely frustrating when trying to take notes in class. If you absolutely must have a convertible laptop, this may be your best bet currently. If not, just stay away.

5 out of 5 eggscheaper deal at staples and Lenovo

Pros: great machine, easily upgradeable

Cons: price at newegg too high :(....... just saw a better deal at staples with the MS office deal for $799. Even with tax it is cheaper plus you can pick it up the same day! Bought another for my daughter for college. Lenovo's web site is $899.
So what's the deal newegg???

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy!

Pros: Light weight. Sleek design.

Cons: Not durable. Customer service is awful.

Other Thoughts: Six weeks after buying this laptop the ac adapter broke. I unplugged it and out came a small plastic piece. It was sitting on a table from the night before unmoved since I had plugged it in. Lenovo did not want to cover this under warranty until I threatened legal action. All together it was a bad experience and I regret buying this. I am afraid to take it anywhere because it might break which defeats the purpose of purchasing a laptop.

5 out of 5 eggs6 months use

Pros: Windows 8 updates have fixed all the outstanding problems I was having. The move to 8.1 Preview this week was an interesting improvement. It made me better understand Windows 8 plus the aesthetics are refined. I use the Yoga as a tablet about 50% of the time. Great alternative to an Android/IPad but provides sufficient deskspace to get real work done.
Lenovo has the latest battery survival power mode available. Seems to cycle charging to maintain between 50 and 60% which is ideal for lithium ion battery.

Cons: Would like to have 8 hours battery life but understand the limitation of the thin chassis and beautiful touch screen. If very careful and use in the dark, typically 3.75 hours if used in Lenovo battery health mode; 5.5 hours if allowed to charge to 100%.

Other Thoughts: It needs a 256GB mSATA at least. Pick one with the lowest overall power consumption which seems to be the Plextor. Samsung is not selling retail as yet. Not certain what adding a 2nd mSATA would do to battery life.
