1 out of 5 eggsNo more support for this product

Pros: None

Cons: The shrink-wrapped package has a sticker that says, "Stop. After installation, please download and install the latest software from www.lgericssonus.com." However, that website does not exist. The model number, WBR-5050, does not show up in any search within any other LG or Ericsson website I tried.

Other Thoughts: Newegg shipped this item to me for free when I bought a large hard drive. Obviously they know something that they are not telling customers who pay $75 for this: there is not, and will never be, any support or upgrades for this router.

3 out of 5 eggs???

Pros: Received two WBR-5050 router free as a bonus with new hard drives. Have not unwrapped or used so far.

Cons: Support phone is out of service and web sites are unresponsive. So what’s up with that? Will I be able to update firmware? (There is a sticker on the box to update as soon as up and running.) Is there a know problem?

Other Thoughts: Keep or sell while I can?

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Router, UI isn't great

Pros: Fast. It is definitely gigabit on the WAN and 4 switch ports. Set up was easy

Cons: UI is not great. Slow to work with and every update requires a 15 second update period. Also very small. If it could adjust based on your screen size that would make it much easier, but it appears to be set up for 1024x768 which makes navigation even harder.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat router from LG-Ericsson

Pros: Easy to set up and configure, works straight out from the box, nice design, even though it has internal antennas i was able to get very good coverage in my home. I'll definitely recommend this router.

Cons: Maybe a little expensive but the solid performance and features are worth it.

2 out of 5 eggsNot what you'd expect

Pros: Small, all internal antennas. Simple setup. Easy to use.

Cons: Cannot change "admin" name. Cannot stop wireless admin access (which is a dealbreaker for me). Weaker signal strength for a router of this price. Major con: LAN is NOT gigabit, but just 100mbps (however, it is listed otherwise). Comes with a tiny piece of apper with fineprinted instructions, which are not very useful for advanced settings.

Other Thoughts: I won't recommend this for a friend. I didn't buy this from NewEgg.

5 out of 5 eggsSatidified not ready to burst one out

Pros: I have recently had a number of different wireless routers going on test basis, after bying new home. Wanted to se which would deliver the best signal, carry my full broadband speed, etc. Netgear and Dlink my miles varied. Certainly a "U get what u pay for" thing, with routers, but then again, I have seen some expensive Ciscos just pan and lay donkey berries. I have to say, I was little skeptical,b ut sicne I have no complaints with my Washer/Dryer and Tvs, I figured, "Maybe LG (Erricsson, diff subsid I know) has put out a decent wireless router too?/ Well, I have to announce, the back bedrooms are getting full signals. They were not before (this after doing the same sort of testing with adapters. Guesss what, Rosewills work fabulous!!) with the aformentioned NG, DLink, a cheapo Buffalo, and old School Linksys, and a few others. I am satisified. The interface is fairly easy and use rfriendly, but it has all the bells and whistles imilat to higher end ones I have seen.

Cons: I would buy this again, without hesitation, for the added signal strength, I do think the current price point is a bit over but I won't take points for that, for all I know its a NE thing.

Other Thoughts: I would reccommend for a shopper who is looking for what I was , additional signal strength at additional lengths. I wish I could provide more, but my wireless knowledge only gos so far, I am a builder.software guy by heart.
