2 out of 5 eggsSo good but constant static

Pros: These sound great when the music is loud, they look good, the phone controls work with my S4 without needing the included adapter, ear bud sizes for just about any ear included

Cons: Constant static

Other Thoughts: I've tried using these with several different devices and the static is always there. Although not loud, it's loud enough to ruin more subtle parts of songs (classical solo instruments are the worst) but the static isn't noticeable if you're listening to something like rock or hip hop.

4 out of 5 eggsThese sound amazing but are painful

Pros: They sound amazing, i'm hearing details that I hadn't heard with my koss dj pro 200 or handful of sennheisers that I had including the CX300b. I hear instruments, separation, the bass is perfect. I rediscovered new nuances in many of my favorite songs on my mp3 player. They are a steal for the price ($40).

Cons: all the different tips that i tried result in some level of discomfort/pain after about a half hour. this is the only con.

Other Thoughts: i will probably look for other tips.

Cons: Left earphone suddenly makes a lots of distortions.

1 out of 5 eggsMaybe look elsewhere

Pros: They are the best sounding earbuds I have owned. They are not noise cancelling but when listening to music or watching movies you can hear very little ambient noise.

Cons: The right earbud failed after only a few uses. They were working great and plugged them in last night and there is now a loud crackling in the right side earbud at any volume level other than low. I have requested an RMA and replacement from Newegg.
Chances are also high that you will have to use the adapter cable (Supplied) for them to work with your smart phone. I have a Nokia 920 and an iPad Mini and both require the adapter for the headset remote to function.

When using as a phone headset it almost seems to amplify nearby voices and audio. Something no other headset has done.

Other Thoughts: It comes in a really nice box and packaging. My recommendation is to skip the nice packaging and make a product that lasts longer than a week.

These are not worth the $100 + retail. I only purchased them because the sale price is what you pay for ok earbuds in other brands.

If the RMA comes through and the replacements last longer than a week I may improve my rating. If they had not died I would say.

5 Eggs for Audio Quality in music and movies
2.5 Eggs for use as a Headset because of background noise and requiring the use of an adapter cable
5 Eggs for Packaging

1 out of 5 eggsNOT noise canceling

Pros: Work as earplugs

Cons: These are NOT noise-canceling headphones. The title is NOT correct. They are noise-isolating earbuds, which basically means that the silicone tips fit snugly in your ear canal and act as earplugs.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Sound, Thin Cables

Pros: Comfortable, great sound, comes with a case and multiple tips. Noise isolation is adequate, sacrifices to audio quality are not made to further isolate noise for which I'm glad.

On sale this was a very good deal, had to give it 5 eggs taking that into consideration.

Cons: Cable seems a little lightweight for the price, not really useful for walking/ running because of the seal they create within your ear canal. They aren't water-resistant and I tend to wear them outdoors a lot.

Other Thoughts: Made me slightly unhappy with my low bitrate music collection :P

5 out of 5 eggsThrow away all those earbuds that come with your devices

Pros: Great sound. Lots of ear fittings (including those "around-the-ear" pieces). Good quality carrying case. Gold connector.

Cons: Not noise-cancelling... but they don't seem to advertise these as such except on the Newegg website.

Other Thoughts: I'm no audiophile, but I have some understanding of the concepts of treble, bass and midranges. These sound great, just remember that having the right hardware is only the first step. Make sure your audio sources are high quality as well; a 96kbps song won't sound good on the most expensive hardware.

Like others have noted, these are not noise-cancelling, but I've actually never tried any noise cancelling earbuds or headphones. I wore these while cleaning up this afternoon and I could hardy hear my very loud garbage disposal, I had to feel the sink vibrate to make sure it was working. In fairness, I had the volume cranked up a bit, but only because it sounded SO good, I felt like the band was playing in the same room.

Finally, I wouldn't purchase these for $100, but Newegg had a great coupon deal this week that brought it down to less than half! Love Newegg!

2 out of 5 eggsMislabeled not Noise-Canceling

Pros: Bought them on sale, seem nice enough.

Cons: These are "Noise-Isolating" not "Noise-Canceling" which is what I'd wanted. Oddly this is not the only site to use the term "Noise-Canceling", but that word shows up no where on the packaging or documentation.
I bought 3 and will return the 2 unopened ones, since it is not what it said it was

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value- But Not Noise Cancelling

Pros: Very good sound quality. There a adapters for almost any ear size and they are light weight and comfortable.

Cons: The only con is that they are noise isolating not noise cancelling. I travel on airplanes a great deal and this is a disappointment. Not sure who is responsible for the misrepresentation, but is is a little frustrating.

Other Thoughts: I still use these in my hotel room to watch movies and listen to music on my Nook HD+. The provide superior sound quality and New Egg sold them at a great price.
