3 out of 5 eggsOne little thing...

Pros: Cheap. Works mostly. Small.

Cons: Interface. I just don't get it. When you set up your security settings, you can put in your pre shared key. BUT, the key is always blacked out with asterisks. You cannot change this. So, lets say you decide to use WEP encryption. You will put in the top key, blind, and then the system will generate three more that you could easily switch between to quickly change your key for security purposes, except that you can't see them. I've been looking and looking on the internet, on DLinks page, everywhere, and there is no way to change this setting. It doesn't make sense, and when a company does something that doesn't make sense, I take note.

5 out of 5 eggsGood deal

Pros: This is a sturdy little router. Got it for free with a modem purchase and I haven't been disappointed. Its compatible to flash with DD-WRT which was a huge plus for me.

Cons: none come to mind.

Other Thoughts: My parents used a Belkin router for a couple of years. It kept dropping their internet connection so they purchased another one. It gave them similar problems. Then I installed this router (flashed with DD-WRT) and I haven't gotten a phone call about "computer problems" (internet) in months!

4 out of 5 eggsworks as it's supposed to

Pros: Works like a champ after it was correctly setup. Tech support was fantastic and knowledgable of the product (Case number C6552651, tech ID #AR004214).

Cons: couldn't set up automatically. I had to call tech support.

4 out of 5 eggsokay when it was $20, I guess it's a bit more popular now

Pros: Works well with DD-WRT

Cons: Stock firmware is quite terrible.
Started dropping signal (wired), even with DD-WRT after 2 years

Other Thoughts: Had this router for a few years, it worked well for about a year and then started to degrade in quality. It would stutter every 15-20 seconds, spike to 1000 ms ping - very noticeable in games. I installed DD-WRT firmware and this solved the problem. 6 months after the firmware upgrade I get lost internet at least twice a day. I think it's ending it's life span after about three years.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Router!!!!!

Pros: Great router, very easy set up. Few to no issues. I feel like if I ever had issues, they were through my internet service provider. I've called D-Link customer service a few times, and they've always been quick to help solve my problem, whether it be a router reset, or directing me back to my ISP. I would buy again!!

Cons: None I can really think of. I've had problems with my internet connection, but could never deduce whether it was my ISP or my router; either way, they've always been solved with a quick phone call.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: goo price. I mean cheap.

Cons: Very bad signal ranging. I can only get a good and fast enough signal within the same room or without any blocking wall. So, it is not good for a house, which makes this a piece of junk. I have to buy a better ranging router.
