2 out of 5 eggs1 of 3 died almost immediately

Pros: Good coverage. Hooked up well with two Macintoshes using a Time Machine wireless disk. Antenna reflector is a good idea for directional coverage.

Cons: I bought three of these units, had one fail (no broadcast) within a week. Also have had failures with the units not connecting to our local providers Point to Point over Ethernet accounts (to be fair, a lot of routers have trouble with this provider).

Other Thoughts: Interface takes some getting used to. Also have to pay a lot of attention to saving and resetting when adjusting settings. Also, make sure you set the DATE! They default to 2006 or something, and don't update unless you tell them to on setup.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Router King

Pros: Have bought 2 (and soon to be 3) for wireless internet setups around town. Walked an old lady in Florida through the setup on one by email; can't get any easier than this.

And at 25 bucks shipped- absolutely unbeatable for a G router. WPA/WPA2 works great. Seemed to beat my Linksys B and DLink G routers speed for sure. Life is good

Cons: Weird looking antenna...?? HAHA

NONE

Other Thoughts: Only have used these for normal wireless networks for internet- Haven't really investigated port fowarding or mac address cloning on it

5 out of 5 eggsZonet ZSR1124WE

Pros: Fast Newegg shipping; got it in two days. Hooked it up to my dvd player and cable modem (desktops and laptops are wireless) and had it working in less than five minutes. Had to use wep encryption because of an older wireless access port on one desktop but the router has sufficient security protocols. I live in a tri-level home, over 2100 sq feet, and have a good to excellent signal everywhere (even in the basement).

Cons: LEDs on the front of the router are difficult to see. Not significant enough to remove an egg.

Other Thoughts: Have bought Zonet products for years and never had any problems.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The range is good and the installation is easy.

Cons: Nuisance #1: It forgets the WEP encryption key every time the machine resents. Thus, your connection drops out, say, everytie there is an automatic windows opdate with a restart or any restart.
Nuisance #2: No technical support for the bad firmware supplied. It will not update the firmware and all email requests for their techncal support were unanswered.

Other Thoughts: I would not buy this device when you can get a D-link or Linksys that avoids the aboive problems.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Router, Great Price

Pros: Good stable connections, easy setup.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: I am running 3 of these in bridge mode with no problem. Furthermost distance between routers is 400' line of site. I bought the first 2 five months ago and have had no problems yet.

1 out of 5 eggsnot worth it

Pros: .There are no pros..

Cons: I figured I would try this item. The first one was bad, but this happens. I ordered a replacement and that was the same. My advice is to buy a dlink or one of thr better items. Keep away from this one

Other Thoughts: I wish i had a match

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Month Perfect

Pros: Solid connection for both Dell D830 laptop and MacBook Pro. Robustness even while running a bluetooth headset and a baby monitor. Setup seemed easy enough. I switched from a 802.11n and I have to say a consistent 802.11g 54mbps is better than a unreliable 802.11n box.

Cons: None yet.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Zonet wireless router worked great! Took it out of the box pluged it in and it worked right away. I originally bought this so my brother could recieve internet who lives next door and is about 200+ feet away and we had no issues. I would recomend this to anyone who is looking for distance and ease of installation

Cons: none that i can think of

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quick purchase and delivery from Newegg

Cons: Poor resolution on manufacturer levels

Other Thoughts: Zonet has a very weak customer service department. Their tech support requested me to return this defective router after doing some diagnostics on it. This was 3-1-08 and now it is 3-18-08. I submitted proof of purchase and still no word on anything.
