Ditch the cable bill and save up for a sunny weekend vacation instead.

The cable companies don’t want you to know this, but you can watch HDTV without an expensive cable bill. With this Winegard HDTV indoor antenna, you can watch HDTV broadcasts from your local network affiliates in beautifully crisp high definition (e.g. ABC, Fox, NBC, CBS, Univision, etc.).

This thin and compact HDTV antenna provides amazing performance thanks to its Clear Circuit Technology amplifier powered either through your TV’s USB connection or 110V adapter (USB cable and 110V adapter included). You can pick up HDTV broadcasts at up to 50 miles away with this excellent amplifier that will minimize pixilation and dropouts.

Simply connect the HDTV antenna to your TV’s coaxial input, place the antenna in an open indoor location, and connect to your locally broadcast networks. Network availability will vary based on location and proximity to a broadcast antenna. The antenna is clear making it easy to affix this device to a window without blocking light or it can be laid flat on any piece of furniture practically unnoticed!

Stop paying a $100+ cable bill for channels you don’t watch and features you don’t use. Get yourself this HDTV antenna first and figure out how to spend the money you’ll save later.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Seller, defective Item

Pros: None

Cons: Defective, incomplete item, parts missing. Seller claims that they will refund, but will not send RMA or return shipping label. I must pay for this myself, even though they agree that the item is defective & parts are missing. My old digital antenna picked up more than 10 local stations, this antenna would pickup 7 & 3 were un-watchable.

Other Thoughts: This was delivered defective & missing parts. The seller has made false promises, regarding RMA & return shipping. I am still waiting for further communication & instructions, RMA & return shipping label for a refund.

5 out of 5 eggsSouth of Boston

Pros: I have been searching a long time wanting to drop my cable. So I bought 3 of theses one for each TV in the house. So far I have setup two. One room faces north and the other room faces south. Both TV's pulled in the same channels. The picture is much better then cable, uncompressed picture. I live 45 miles south of Boston and pull in all the stations North of me. To the west is Providence about 20 miles, I am able to pull in all there stations as well. Can't be more pleased with the results!!

Cons: Can't think of anything

Other Thoughts: This is the one to buy!!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: In my area there are very few channels available according to On top of that I live in an apartment complex, on the 1st floor surrounded by buildings.

Given this I did not expect the product to work wonders but to my surprise I got all but one of the listed channels. On top of that the picture is HD and crystal clear.

Cons: The antenna is very sensitive to the exact position. It gets perfect signal in one spot and no signal if you move it one inch to the left or right.

I got all but one of the channels available in my area, however it took around 2-3 hours until I found the best spot and I was covering a relatively small area.

Other Thoughts: Would definitely buy it again!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Antenna

Pros: This antenna is actually opaque/clearish and is not very obtrusive to the sight. I loved the fact that it came with a 18ft cable. The USB power plug is located near the end of the cable that plugs into the tuner. It works great and I receive about 9-10 channels that I couldn't get before and my normal network channels work without digital artifacts.

Cons: The antenna position has to be played with to see which position will yield the highest number or desired channels. I do not think this is anything to do with this particular antenna, but rather the way it would be with any flat digital antenna (I own two different flat antennae. Try different heights as well. I found I get the best reception below my window.

Other Thoughts: This is a great antenna for the price (refurb) and so far it works great. It is light enough to where you can temporarily use scotch tape to try different positions before you permanently mount it. (command strip style adhesive strips were included).

2 out of 5 eggsdigital Ant.

Pros: Great if you can't afford cable. The channels it does pick up come in very clear, the only issue is it only picks up a few channels in my area but there are alot more available I just can't pick them up with this.

Cons: Only picks up a few channels and you have to place it in the window.

Other Thoughts: I probably wouldn't buy it again.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap price, bad equipment

Pros: Refurbished, small, indoor, see through bi-directional "amplified" antenna. Antenna to TV Tuner card is RG 59 coaxial cable. The amplified portion of
the antenna is powered via a DC block/Injector. The DC block has a USB type
A female connector. A short (18") USB cable with a mini connector on the
opposite end plugs into a USB port on the computer or into a supplied 5 VDC
wall wart.

Cons: Did not work! Checked the USB port current draw-no current draw.
Plugged the USB power cable into the supplied wall wart - no current draw.
At this point I almost gave up in discuss, glad I didn't. I am stubborn. As a quick test, I plugged the supplied USB cable into a portable hard drive. No
worky!!. AHA, I replaced the USB cable and retested the antenna - IT WORKS perfectly!!! And it works very well. I am 40 miles from the nearest
TV transmitter and the antenna picks it up and I receive 12 additional TV stations as well!

Other Thoughts: Same old tale. Companies lie to get rid of bad equipment!. It was too expensive
to send back for a refund and I was not going to eat a bad deal!!! I spent an
hour of my time trouble shooting it and repaired it with a $2.00 USB cable.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent results

Pros: Thin, lightweight, easy to install, can use USB power from TV or other electronics, good sale price. WOW, every single channel in the Seattle market plus 4 from Tacoma. My RCA powered HD antenna only picked up 1/3 of these and never consistently. Easy to mount and move. Getting a 2nd one when on sale again.

Cons: Took a long time to ship and receive.

Other Thoughts: I would not purchase one of these without the powered amp. And I'm not sure refurbished makes any sense with an antenna, buy new with full warranty.

3 out of 5 eggsIt works after my repairing it!

Pros: Excellent gain and bandwidth. I am very surprised it worked as well as it did
after I repaired it!!

Cons: Did not work "out of the box". After some gnashing of teeth and cussing I
put it on my electronics workbench and commenced to trouble shoot the
problem. No apparent gain!! Checked if the device was pulling current, NO!
checked USB port-OK. Checked AC power supply-OK. Checked USB
power to voltage injector on the video cable. USB Cable BAD. It is obvious that
this REFURBISHED device was NEVER REFURBISHED. I was able to fix it for
the cost of a short USB A to USB mini connectored cable.

5 out of 5 eggsA pleasant surprise!

Pros: Gets an amazingly good signal in suburbia. Easy to hook up.

Cons: It's not invisible.

Other Thoughts: I read some online reviews on another site that said this was the best amplified indoor TV antenna available, but even so, the reviewers cautioned that local conditions make it hard to predict if a particular antenna will work for you.

I am about 20 miles from the local TV stations, out in suburbia, with a pretty clear view of the transmitter towers. I have been using an amplified indoor antenna of the rabbit ear variety that has been very inadequate, especially since we discontinued our cable TV service.

I hooked up the Wineguard antenna and had great pictures on a very large number of stations immediately. I found that the location and orientation of the antenna did not make nearly as much difference as you would expect. Since the physical antenna is nothing exotic, I conclude that the amplifier must be the providing most of the magic. In any case this is a great alternative to cable if you don't need the premium channels.
