Seven discrete amplifiers provide versatile speaker options, including 7.1ch surround, Bi-Amp to double power to main speakers, and Zone B for extended audio coverage. The Yamaha AV Controller App provides simple network control. CINEMA DSP 3D offers an enveloping home theater experience. Expand Apple connectivity with AirPlay, and versatile USB input for iPad. Includes futuristic technologies, like 4k video pass-through and ECO mode.

  • newegg Exceptional Audio Performance Featuring seven-channel surround sound with 192 kHz/24-bit Burr Brown DACs for all channels, the RX-V573 delivers a high dynamic, powerful output capability to bring you cinema-like audio experience in the comfort of your home. The RX-V573 uses discrete amp output stages, providing much better sound quality and better output drive for low impedance speakers. Zone B output means that users can enjoy two-channel sound in a second room, while the main zone has five-channel output (same source plays in both zones). The assignable amplifier support bi-amp connection. The Direct Mode makes for high-quality sound reproduction, while the low-jitter PLL circuitry helps optimize sound imaging. The HD Audio format decoding for Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio refreshes your listening experience with tantalizing high-definition audio that is as stunning as the high-definition pictures.
  • newegg Future Ready The RX-V573 provides advanced HDMI features, including 4K Pass-Through for higher picture quality, 3D for enjoying 3D video sources, and ARC (Audio Return Channel), which makes it easier to hear TV sound. It also supports Deep Color (30/36 bit), x.v.Color, 24 Hz Refresh Rate, and Auto Lip-Sync compensation to sync the dialogue and pictures.
  • newegg Network Functions Add More Convenience AirPlay allows music streaming from Mac, PC, iPod, iPhone, and iPad. The AV Controller app lets you easily operate various functions from an iPod, iPhone, iPad, or Android device. The access to Internet Radio (vTuner) allows you to keep track of your favorite station.
  • newegg CINEMA DSP 3D Mode and VIRTUAL Presence Speaker The actually measured sound-field data contains the information of the height of the sound images. CINEMA DSP 3D mode achieves the reproduction of the accurate height of the sound images, so that it creates accurate and intensive stereoscopic sound fields in a listening room. Thanks to the Virtual Presence Speaker function, you can also enjoy CINEMA DSP 3D surround even without Front Presence Speakers.
  • newegg SCENE – A NEW LEVEL OF OPERATING EASE Four SCENE buttons make operating the receiver easier than ever. They are initially set to default settings for DVD Viewing, Disc Listening, TV Viewing, and Radio Listening. Pressing a SCENE button automatically launches a number of operations that initiate play of the source controlled by that button. Other SCENE settings are also available, such as iPod Listening, XM Listening, TV Sports Viewing, and Action Game Playing. Browsing and selecting the settings is quickly accomplished by changing Input via the front panel and watching the on-screen display. The settings can be selected for one-time use, or they can replace the original default settings. The SCENE names can be changed also.
  • newegg YPAO Automatic System Calibration Yamaha’s YPAO system uses a small microphone and sophisticated equalization to automatically set the best sound for any room, no matter where the speakers are. First it checks the speaker connections and phase of each speaker. Then it sends out tones which are captured by the microphone to analyze the room acoustics, and sets a variety of parameters – such as the speaker size, the distance of the speakers, and even the sound pressure level – until it achieves the best sound conditions for your room. You don't have to do a thing!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent receiver

Pros: It has plenty of features. So many in fact that I have yet to use them all. LOL I like the YPAO feature where it tunes your system for the room's acoustics. The pass-through feature cannot be underestimated for it's value to the system. It makes hooking up to the TV a breeze. One thing factors a lot into this receiver and it's value. That is the one year warranty by Yamaha themselves. Every other refurbished receiver I have ever looked at limit the warranty to 90 days. Finish this with such a low price, you can't go wrong! As you can tell I love my Yamaha receiver.

Cons: For some people who are looking for absolute simplicity, might be intimidated by this receiver.

Other Thoughts: The systems that are all in one, in a box, may be easier for the absolute novice to hook up. But for someone who wants a more versatile, forward looking receiver, loaded with features and good reputation for the price, look no further.

4 out of 5 eggsGood receiver for the price

Pros: it is relatively small and light.
Sound is pretty good.
Bi-amp feature is nice.
runs cool. my old onkyo 807 could fry an egg. this one is luke warmish.
the apps are cool if your into that stuff.

Cons: remote kind of sucks. it doesn't control my Fios tv box well at all.
not crazy powerful, my old onky 807 shook the neighbor's neighbors house, this one is sufficient for my living room but not down the street lol.
to disconnect the power cord from the receiver you have to take apart the housing of the unit. (not a big deal for most but made my install a bit harder).
only 4 hdmi inputs, (not an issue for me but for some it can be, competitors usually have 5).
only on non-HD channels it cuts the video for a second when changing the volume, I have no clue why, it works fine on HD and my PS3.

Other Thoughts: for the price I'd say its a good deal. I'm used to something a bit more high powered but for under $300 its pretty good.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Receiver

Pros: Unit was B-stock, but brand new. Only issue I could see was a little ding on the top of the faceplate, otherwise it was as good as new, but at the refurbished price.
Lots of features, good sounding receiver at a good price.

Cons: Speaker binding posts difficult to use and they are spaced differently then a standard banana plug.
Non HDMI video sources don't play out of the HDMI out.
