1 out of 5 eggsDied after two months

Pros: Ran well for about one month. New egg has great prices and I have been happy with all my other purchases.

Cons: My system started doing sudden complete shutdowns after a short time of computer use. Then the drive became completely unrecognizable after a little less than two months of use. I tried getting to other computers to at least recognize it with no luck. With only 30 day warranty from new egg and Corsair I just trashed it. It's my own fault for buying a refurbished hard drive with only a 30 day warranty. Others have had better luck so I took a chance. From now on I will only buy new SSD's.

Other Thoughts: The drive arrived with seals broken.

2 out of 5 eggsUnstable

Pros: Inexpensive, silent, plenty of space for OS.

Cons: Keeps giving me BSOD, stops resonding

Other Thoughts: I've never had a problem with "re-certified" products before now. This SSD randomly becomes unresponsive or causes BSOD. Reboot sometimes fails when BIOS cannot find drive.

3 out of 5 eggsdisappointed

Pros: It's fast...

Cons: It's been giving me daily BSOD's

Other Thoughts: Apparently it has a weak block, and the controller refuses to mark it bad. It just drops off the system if I'm scanning it from an OS on another disk. I've only found one program that has identified the bad block, but then I got a clean scan after a secure erase and assumed it was fixed... I accidentally deleted the log in the process or I would try to mark that "sector" bad manually, but I think I'm just gonna give up on this one and RMA. I bet refurbished means they tested one that was sent back, didn't find the problem and sent it back out as is... It will be the last time I gamble on a refurb SSD.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat For The Price

Pros: Fast card, love the boot up time on my pc now. For only 60 bucks i would do it again!

Cons: Not a whole lot of space not really a con, but that my only issue with it all together for the cost to gig ratio its worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat SSD

Pros: Very fast when compared to HDD it replaced, install was a breeze. Performed clean install of Win 8.1 with no problems. Setting my motherboard port to ACHI was very simple and must be done for SSD to work.

Cons: only con was it did not come with any instruction but quick web search before install cleared that up. it also didn't come with the bay adapter but not enough of a problem to remove any eggs

5 out of 5 eggsRecert. Force Series GS 128

Pros: This item has been a simple install, and a quick access drive. (although it did not come with screws)
It also came with the most recent firmware installed, 5.7 per Corsair toolbox.
Used small space to access a ramdisk file.(loads in background while boot drive does its thang), only saving what was changed during the session.
Removing load from main ssd.
Atto speed test gets 540 Writes & 500 Reads

Cons: Only con is for not buying the limit during the sale.

Other Thoughts: Next time I will get more, thanks for the best price on good drives.
It is a 7mm drive that should fit most notebooks, for a big speed boost.

5 out of 5 eggsRe-Review of Non-Working Drive

Pros: The replacement drive works and at close to the advertised speeds 560/535 MB/s. Read and Write speeds are 556 MB/s and 527 MB/s according to ATTO. I re-installed Windows 8 Pro through UEFI and boot time is about 20 secs on cold boot. I did not have to update the firmware as it was already up to date.

Cons: other than it is Recertified, none since the RMA

Other Thoughts: The SSD I got originally from Newegg died on me in 10 minutes. I had given it a 1-egg review. RMA'd to Corsair, not to Newegg and received another Recertified SSD from them a week later.

1 out of 5 eggsDo Not Buy

Pros: advertised to be a pretty fast SSD. price was not bad for performance. plus corsair SSDs are supposed to be more reliable than cheaper brands.

Cons: worked for 10 minutes then completely disappeared in Windows and even in Bios. Couldn't even get Bios to post after a few reboots with the drive installed. thank goodness I didn't try to do a fresh windows install on it right away. Would have been a major waste of time. refurbished products are not always bad but this one was.

Other Thoughts: I did not even bother to RMA with Newegg. its not worth sending it back and getting another dud from them. I called up Corsair and they told me to do an RMA online. They approved it and I already sent the drive off. Im much more likely to get a working drive from than from Newegg. Plus if Corsair doesn't have the same exact drive available, im sure they will send me something equivalent. Maybe something even new.
