4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Little notebooks

Pros: small, fast

Cons: heat, make sure to keep them cool

Other Thoughts: can't go wrong if you don't expect more than ultralight (minecraft/AgeofEmpires) type gaming and some web browsing.

4 out of 5 eggsUnactivated Windows...

Pros: Cosmetically Excellent.
Fresh install of Windows, no bloatware.
Fast boot, excellent display.

Cons: Trackpad takes some getting used to.
No ethernet or SD slot.
Battery listed at 4 hours under best performance settings. I need to tweak power and display to see how long it really lasts.

Other Thoughts: For anyone with Windows problems:

My copy came with a fresh install that needed setup and activation. It took me a while to realize that the Windows COA sticker was on the charger and not the computer itself. I used the code on the charger and it worked perfectly.

After that, you'll have about two hours worth of updates to download, as the machine only comes with SP1. Once I got everything installed, all the issues with video and trackpad were resolved.

I wanted to post this early review to help anyone with activation problems. So far my unit is working great and I think I'll be very happy.

1 out of 5 eggsCame with Pirated OS with no key, track pad issues

Pros: It came fast and was cheap

Cons: When I booted it up, it began the Windows 7 Install process, asking for a CD Key.

Skipping and getting to Windows, I was informed that it was a pirated version, with warnings all over.

Trying to scroll up and down with the track pad is impossible. If you left click, you cannot move the mouse up and down.

Other Thoughts: I should have known it was too good to be true.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat computer for the price.

Pros: Clean design and look. Fast computer great battery life and low low price.

Cons: Trackpad is horrible keyboard could use some work as well as some keys require you to press harder than others.

Other Thoughts: Love this computer except for the track pad. Daily use and internet use isn't really an issue but if you're going to be doing a lot of work on this I would recommend a wireless mouse.

5 out of 5 eggsPure Awesome

Pros: It works great, it's wicked fast, easy type on, webcam works great, wifi is really quick, installs programs fast, battery seems to last a while, it's thin, weighs close to nothing, sounds good with pandora and spotify, browses reddit and plays youtube/netflix great.. and the price was just unbeatable.

Cons: People who complain about sound and compare pc's to mac books..

Other Thoughts: Could have come with a slot loaded dvd-rom..

2 out of 5 eggsMediocre

Pros: Nice display, thin, somewhat sleek, solid state drive a big plus. fast.

Cons: dead pixel, trackpad is herendous. horrible. keyboard isn't back-lit, cheap sound.

Other Thoughts: I've had this unit for a week, and have found a dead pixel on it, the trackpad, even if driver updated, is horrible. I should be, but am comparing to a macbook air. No comparison -- this unit is built very cheaply and it shows. I realize $499 won't buy me much, but parts that work would be nice.
