3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Had it for 2 years and it served pretty well. The antennas busted off the chip with ease. However, I soldered them back on. Great range and signal strength. No drops and no reduced speeds from continuous use.

Cons: Cheap antenna contact points. Finally died out just a few days ago just over 2 years.

2 out of 5 eggsgood at first...but

Pros: good signal with powerful antennas, good speeds at first

Cons: antennas seem too big for device as one antenna slightly dislodged from device in first week of use, d/l and u/l speeds drastically reduced (u/l < .2 mbps most of the time now) after only a few months of use.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible speeds, waste of my money!

Pros: Gets good signal...

Cons: Terrible speeds, no matter the driver. ~ 3 mbps on a 50 Meg line. My netgear wireless adapter got me around 35.

Other Thoughts: Should definitely be able to be refunded the FULL PRICE...but with return shipping and restocking fee, it's a waste.

3 out of 5 eggsLinux drivers are broken

Pros: Works awesome on windows
Gets a fantastic signal to/from the access point

Cons: The linux drivers available in the linux kernel are broken.
The linux drivers available from the manufacturers web site are buggy

Other Thoughts: This device has 2 available linux drivers. The drivers that are directly in the linux kernel are broken. It connects to my router, but then pinging the router gets 100% packet loss.

The linux driver that are available from the manufacturer Realtek are buggy, it connects to my router and works perfectly for a little while, but after some time it slows down to an unusable state, at which point pinging the router produces over 1000ms ping times.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper fast...

Pros: -Fast
-Easy to install
-Stable connection

Cons: The antennae can easily come off, and it doesn't feel like there is a good connection. But if you're looking at this adapter with massive antennas, you probably just set it and forget it.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this guy!

Pros: Great range. Seems to always get 300MB

Cons: Kinda big

Other Thoughts: I've used this on many PC's. It's best for when I go camping and the wifi AP is far away at the office or such. I plug this in and can normally get a nice connection. It seems to have at least twice the range of the little cute USB adapters. Big and Ugly has it's benefits :)

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible!

Pros: Has large antennas.

Cons: I tried this adapter both on Windows 7 and Windows XP 64 and both times when I was using it the speed would go to a crawl in five minutes or less. I don't know what the problem was, but I used the driver on the CD and off the website and still had the same results.

Other Thoughts: It said that it can use channel 14, but it couldn't.
