5 out of 5 eggsExcellent, versitile mic

Pros: I spent 28 years in radio, as an announcer, program producer and Chief Engineer, so have a lot of time listing to recordings of choirs, and listening to my own voice through headphones and on monitors.

I had been using a condenser mic for recording a choir, but decided to upgrade, and picked this one based on the reviews. I am _very_ pleased. Used for choral recording, there was a significant improvement in the quality of the audio over a lower end MXL mic. Much clearer and cleaner, with a smooth response. Same equipment, even the cables were the same - only the mic was changed.

I then used the mics for some voice work. I was pleased with the results, and like the sound as well or better than the AKG 414 that I had used on air for years.

Great mic, with a very good shock mount. It holds the mic firmly. The aluminum cases are nice too, and protect the mic well. No regrets in buying this mic.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: If you had suggested when I started in radio that I would be able to find a mic with this kind of quality for this price, I wouldn't have believed you.
