Have you ever stayed at someone's house and slept on their old sofa day bed? Or a futon mattress? Or maybe you and your spouse were forced to share a twin or full size bed? NO MORE! Raised 20" off the ground, the Smart Air Beds Raised Comfort Top Flocked Queen Size Inflatable Mattress is exactly what you're looking for if you have overnight guests coming or you plan on doing some traveling yourself. Complete with a soft flocked top sleep surface, at 20" this air bed is almost the height of a traditional box spring and mattress (about 25"), so you or your guests are up off the floor, away from any cold drafts. Engineered with a comfort top contruction, the Smart Air Beds Raised Comfort Top Flocked Queen Size Inflatable Mattress comes as close as you can get to a traditional mattress with regards to support and stability. The 23 gauge (.60 mm) super-thick, water proof flocked top and 14 gauge (.35 mm) sides and bottom give this air bed 600 lbs./272 kg. weight capacity. The whole bed has expertly electronically welded seams for long lasting quality. The handheld powerful ETL listed A/C pump can have the mattress ready from box to bed in about 4 minutes. The bed accommodates standard queen sheets (not included; fitted sheet will bunch at corners), and the fitted sheet is aided by the flocked topping and a well placed horizontal groove along all sides to limit sheet slippage. When you're ready to pack the item up, simply open the patented 2-in-1 valve to release the air, roll & fold, and store the item neatly in the included storage bag - easy to keep in a linen closet, under a desk (for those of you who take naps at work) or anywhere with limited space. Our 2011 design has tacked the feedback from customers for increased reliability & comfort. As always, please inflate the item 3 times before applying weight to it to help stretch the material to its natural size.
Pros: Love this bed. Took a nap on it the first time a few days ago for a couple hours before I went to work and I did not want to wake up. Very comfortable.
Cons: None so far, fingers crossed and knock on wood.
Other Thoughts: I actually followed the directions this time and inflated the bed 5 times before I first used it. It still loses air over time but I think that is pretty normal. I was still able to sleep on it after the second night without filling it back up which is a win for me in my book.
