It's reasonably priced (probably because it's made in our overseas factory called China) and I just hope it lasts a few seasons. Cons: Not terribly pretty - a very functional, non-stylish design. Other Thoughts: I had originally installed this on an outside window 2 floors up and the horrific image came to mind of it falling out and killing someone. So I moved it to where if it fell, no one would get hurt. This doesn't have much to do with the unit itself; I'm just making a public service announcement that you must be very careful where you install it. It does have the hardware to secure it and it doesn't claim to be anything but a window unit, but still, be very careful. Those warnings in the enclosed manual are worth reading. Cons: The smell. The internal fan and inward-facing condenser grill gets matted with a filthy layer of dust and gód knows what else after a summer or two of usage. With all that nasty stuff coating the inside, the air coming out smells musty but after 30 minutes you no longer notice it that much. Other Thoughts: Next spring I plan on taking the entire case cover off and spraying the condenser coil fins and internal fan with a hose to clean off all the accumulated junk, warranty be dámned. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.
