3 out of 5 eggsCool Novelty Item

Pros: I purchased two of them mostly because I thought they looked really cool. I didn't expect much being 2.0 and the cheap price but I was actually surprised with the construction. The outer body is metal and the slide out connection is plastic. They look like baby hard drives when the connector is pulled in. I had a feeling they would be more a cool novelty item than anything

Cons: I purchased two and within a month I had one still working. The body being metal was a plus and when not retracted they are very durable but the connector being plastic is the weak point. I found that out the first time I tapped it while it was plugged into my computer. That one never worked again. The 2.0 is a negative but I knew what I was getting so my rating don't reflect this as an issue.

Other Thoughts: If you just want a cool novelty item that will also work as storage in a pinch then by all means buy one. If your looking for something you can trust with important data stay away from these! Once its plugged in be very careful hitting against the side of it with anything. If you want something fast don't buy this then complain its a 2.0 because it says that in the title. You get what you pay for these days but I guess some forget that fact. I didn't hate them even after the one died. I still think they look cool for the money and its a conversation starter if nothing else when sitting on my desk..... lol

2 out of 5 eggsDead after 19 months

Pros: Fun, functional

Cons: died for apparently no reason, not used very often, can't figure out why it no longer works

5 out of 5 eggsStylish and Works

Pros: Mainly bought for the novelty, the thing looks great, has the obligatory blinking blue light, and elicits words of awe from the non tech savvy around work. Oh, it stores files wonderfully also. Transfer speed is decent though i haven't done much testing.

Cons: Wider than the average flash drive, but in this case saying that's a con is like complaining an 88 Lincoln Town Car has a long hood. Still... FYI, it takes up some real estate.

5 out of 5 eggsExcelent Readyboost flashdrive!

Pros: Looks like a mini hard drive! Fast read speeds. Instantly recognized.

Cons: Very fragile connector. Don't accidentally knock this, or the plastic connector that sticks in your USB slot WILL break. Just keep it plugged in on the back of your tower and you'll be fine.

Other Thoughts: I use this on my Windows 8 testbed pc, and on my HTPC. Most frequently used programs load noticeably faster, which is all I wanted it for. Not exactly sure if startup is any quicker, although it feels like it is. I recommend!

5 out of 5 eggsGood Thumb drive!

Pros: Looks good, works good, and gets a-lot of praise from fellow coworkers and employees on it looks. I would not be giving this thumb Drive if it did not perform phenomenal. The aesthetics of it is just a perk! It has a nice blue ring glowing around it when it is being used

Cons: None so far. I have ran it through stress tests and all, all is good!

Other Thoughts: I was using this drive as a portable app drive. But I soon found the need for a fast flash drive to boot ESXi on one of my servers, Works Awesome! Will order another for a portable app drive

5 out of 5 eggsMy inner geek LOVES this thing!

Pros: This drive is SOLID - all metal and heavy. It looks and feels like a tiny hard drive. I bought it for the geeky coolness factor and it sure delivers. And as an added bonus: it's FAST! Plus, the whole top has a ring where the platter would be that lights up when it's being accessed.

Cons: No tiny hole to put it on a keyring

Other Thoughts: If you pride yourself a geek, especially an old-school geek like me, you gotta have this thing!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks cool, bootable, pretty quick. You can boot a computer with your own mini hard drive. Use a version of syslinux to make bootable for antivirus, linux and other utilities.

Cons: Wish it was free.
