Overview

KOSS TD85 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Full Size Headphone

Capture every note and listen loudly without worry of disturbing others nearby with the Koss TD85 full size noise isolating headphones. These full size headphones so efficiently isolate the listener and prevent sound leakage, they’re ideal for public listening.

Built to deliver ultimate durability, listeners will love the surprising lightweight comfort of the TD85 Koss headphones. Steel yokes reinforce the overall construction, while an extra-wide steel headband provides increased strength. The simple, streamlined construction minimizes breakage.

But "sturdy" wouldn’t mean a thing without sound intensity to back it up. The TD85s feature dynamic elements for a rich frequency response, from 20-17,000 Hz. And you can count on a cleaner, clearer sound due to oxygen-free copper voice coils that also improve signal transmission and conduction. To top things off, the full size TD85 headphones do as much in terms of noise reduction as they do to prevent sound leakage, keeping you (and everyone around you) fully engaged in the matter at hand.

Pros: Good sound for the money

Cons: a bit heavy for a multiple hour wear, but light use should be fine.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have had these since November of 2010
These are amazing. I wear them all the time especially at school. I find them comfortable, and the sound Quality is fantastic. The Cord is a nicely coiled and the fact that it can stretch is helpful. I love these so much.

Cons: They weren't heavy to me like other customers complain but they were tight at first However they loosened up. They don't have the best sound cancelling, I know they weren't meant to sound cancel but it was a nice thought. They do cancel out some noise. Also due to my excessive wearing, which was about maybe like 4 hours everyday, The synthetic covers got torn off so only the soft porous padding was left. This made it so you couldn't hear a single thing if you were in a loud classroom like mine. Duct tape helped but I think I still lose some of the sound.

Other Thoughts: They are definitely worth the price that they cost. They aren't DJ quality, but hey these are pretty close. When I practice my vocal parts (Metal singer) for my band these are what I wear. I am going to try to replace the current damaged pads with some sound cancelling ones but if it doesn't work then I will buy myself a new pair.

3 out of 5 eggsNot very comfortable for me

Pros: Seem to be very sturdy. Good sound quality. Strong cord.

Cons: The ear pieces are too small for my ears, the headband is very stiff and has no padding despite it being huge and looking like it is padded in the pictures. Probably the least comfortable headphones I've ever owned, but still wearable.

Other Thoughts: Wore them for about 4 hours playing Portal 2.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat but cumbersom

Pros: Great construction. Excellent sound. Does not hurt my head or ears. Comes with 1/4" stereo adapter. Muffles outside sound great and cannot be heard by others in the room. Wonderful wonderful wonderful

Cons: design... They do not collapse like you'd think they would. You cannot choose to listen to only 1 earpiece without bending the head band unit.

Other Thoughts: If you're getting these for JUST listening, GREAT GET THEM! But if you're going to be recording or DJ'ing where you need to have one ear listening to headphones and one ear listening to a monitor, you might want to select a collapsable pair.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Deal

Pros: Great sound quality. I bought these for bass and was happy with what I got. I like my music loud but I work in a cubicle. These headphones allow me to have my music loud without disturbing my co-workers.

Cons: Kinda heavy on the head. I would like for them to have been lighter in weight. They also hurt my ears after a while, but I have big ears, so that's something to consider.

Other Thoughts: Along with the fact that no one can hear my music, I can't hear them either. That can be a good thing sometimes. : ) Thanks NEWEGG, delivery was perfect timing.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Buds

Pros: I'm old, and never got used to ear buds. I use these to play PC games when I can't crank up the volume, which is most of the time. They make for a more realistic immersion in the game. These are well made, and comfortable.

Cons: No volume control, but if you want to listen to digital sound, you should use digital volume control to keep the quality. They could be lighter.

Other Thoughts: I plug them into my Logitech desktop speakers.

4 out of 5 eggsNice for the price

Pros: They are good solid headphones, can withstand drop after drop, good if you have kids or are just clumsy. Great sound quality, creates a very good seal around your ear for great external noise cancellation.

Cons: While the connecting pieces are made of metal for durability, it also makes them clamp onto your ears very tightly, gets uncomfortable after a while. Also, if you talk alot while wearing these, the lower half of the ear piece sits on your jaw, it will make it VERY sore even painful, I learned this the hard way.

Other Thoughts: Great if you aren't a hardcore gamer, and don't use programs like Ventrilo or Teamspeak.

4 out of 5 eggssolid product especially for the price

Pros: Coiled cord keeps it conveniently short with the ability to make it longer, all the while keeping it untangled. Fairly comfortable, and good sound quality.

Good product for the cost.

Cons: The piece that goes over your head does look a little strange if too far forward on your head.

They are a little heavy.
