Featuring a compact tower form factor, Tripp Lite's SMART2200NET SmartPro® Line-Interactive UPS System protects connected equipment against data loss, downtime and equipment damage due to power outages, voltage fluctuations and transient surges. Featuring automatic voltage regulation (AVR), it provides regulated nominal 120V AC output without using battery power during brownouts and overvoltages. Large internal batteries support connected equipment during blackouts, and runtime is expandable with optional external battery packs (Tripp Lite model BP24V28-2U or BP24V70-3U), sold separately. Three DB9 communication ports support messaging of detailed UPS operational parameters and line power status plus direct monitoring of directly connected devices. Included PowerAlert UPS monitoring and unattended shutdown software provides management support for an unlimited number of network UPS systems.
Ideal for Protection of Data Center/Network Equipment
With a 2200VA/1700W capacity, the SMART2200NET provides automatic voltage regulation (AVR), reliable battery backup and comprehensive power management capability in a compact tower form factor. Featuring six 5-15R outlets, including two switchable, single-outlet load banks, plus three DB9 ports (one serial, two contact closure), the SMART2200NET offers a complete power protection solution for protection for servers, storage devices and telecom equipment.
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
AVR protects connected equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems that can be caused by brownouts (low-voltage conditions) and overvoltages. The SMART2200NET can correct brownouts as low as 87V and overvoltages as high as 140V, providing safe, computer-grade power to all connected components without consuming backup battery power needed to support equipment through blackouts.
Controllable Load Banks
The SMART2200NET features two single-outlet load banks that are individually controllable via a software interface for remote reboot of locked-up equipment or load shedding to maximize battery backup time for mission-critical equipment.
Reliable Battery Backup
UPS battery backup keeps connected equipment operational through short power failures, and provides time to save data and perform an orderly system shutdown in case of a prolonged blackout. The SMART2200NET features a large internal battery that provides 27 minutes of battery support for a half load (850W) and 11 minutes for a full load (1700W). During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the UPS battery fully charged so that backup power will always be available if needed. Runtime is expandable with optional external battery packs (Tripp Lite model BP24V28-2U or BP24V70-3U), sold separately.
Surge Suppression and EMI/RFI Line Noise Filtering
A sudden power surge or spike can damage or destroy electronic components and wipe out irreplaceable data. The SMART2200NET features a 720J surge suppression rating to protect connected components and data from the harmful effects of power surges. Various electrical and radio sources can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. This line noise is a common cause of incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video performance problems. The SMART2200NET incorporates technology that filters out disruptive line noise, preventing it from affecting your equipment.
DB9 Ports and Included PowerAlert Software
The SMART2200NET features three DB9 ports: one serial and two contact closure. When used with Tripp Lite's included PowerAlert software, the serial port provides comprehensive network power monitoring and control. Capabilities include UPS and line power status messaging (on battery, low-battery, power restored, AC line voltage, DC battery voltage and remaining battery capacity), timed inverter shutoff after unattended shutdown, and UPS output power control for delayed or immediate reboot of connected devices. The two contact closure ports enable two directly connected devices, such as alarms and environmental sensors, to be simultaneously monitored.
Front-Panel LEDs and Audible Alarm
The SMART2200NET features an array of five front-panel LEDs that show line power, battery power, AVR, overload and replace battery status. An audible alarm sounds to alert users to power failure, overload and low-battery conditions.
Versatile Installation Options
The SMART2200NET's compact tower form factor makes it easy to integrate with a wide range of home, business, commercial, industrial and IT applications.
Peace of Mind
The SMART2200NET is manufactured in compliance with strict RoHS specifications, reflecting Tripp Lite's commitment to environmental responsibility. For peace of mind, it comes backed by a two-year warranty (three-year with registration) and $250,000 of Ultimate Lifetime Insurance.
What's in the Box
This thing is heavy!
This review is from: TRIPP LITE SMART2200NET 2200 VA 1700 Watts 6 Outlets Smart Pro UPS System
Pros: It's quiet! No Fan!
Cons: It's so heavy that the plastic case was broken slightly, presumably in shipment, although there was no outward indication of damage to the shipping carton. It doesn't seem to affect the operation.
Other Thoughts: Newegg advises that an adult signature is required to take delivery, yet my UPS driver said no.
