3 out of 5 eggsGood except for 1 fatal flaw

Pros: Decent sound quality
Low price
Good mic quality

Cons: plastic piece that holds earpiece to headband consistently breaks.

Other Thoughts: I've owned 3 of these now, over the past 2 years. Every single one has broken the same way. There's a small plastic plate with 2 screws that holds the earphone to the headband, and the plastic snaps.

I've been very gentle with my last pair, being sure to carefully take it off my head so as to not stress that part, and yet it still failed.

I will be buying a different pair, as I'm getting annoyed having to replace my headphones every few months, and being without a pair for the few days until a new one arrives.

It's really sad--if they just made this part stronger, or out of metal, they'd be the perfect pair of cheap headphones.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Comfortable for long periods of time
-Cord doesn't tangle (Every headset I've owned prior to these have had this problem. It's refreshing that these don't have that issue, especially at their price point
-Good audio and microphone quality

Cons: Only a slight annoyance is the mic is a little wobbly when in the upright position and tends to move around. Along with this, the quality of the microphone can be spotty if in the wrong position. But moving it slightly has always remedied the problem.

Other Thoughts: Owned these for probably 3 years. They're still going strong and can't be beaten for their price point.

4 out of 5 eggsGood but cheap

Pros: Great bass, great treb, overall great sound.

Pretty comfortable as well.

Cons: Cheap, so you get what you paid for. It broke a few months after I got it.

Cord get's twisted, tangled, and run-over constantly.

2 out of 5 eggsWas fine until left headphone died..

Pros: The sound quality of the mic was fine, and the sound quality of the speakers were fine for gaming.

Cons: The microphone seems like it would one day break off with how it is attached. The left speaker died after 2 weeks.

Other Thoughts: I may have gotten unlucky with this headset. A defected headset could come from the factory of any modern day product, cheap or expensive. Although my first try on these makes me not want to get another pair. A two week life is pretty bad.

3 out of 5 eggsQuick sound quality review

Pros: I bought these 4+ years ago as my second headset ever and it worked well for that short duration before I upgraded to something better. Gold plated jacks, folds up easily, comfortable, good oval ear cups. Now for the sound quality, I recommend these for customer service, vocal applications.

Cons: I DO NOT recommend these for music or gaming. They have no bass punch and the treble gets really piercing at high volumes. I would consider them "hollow" sounding.

I haven't tested durability because they weren't put under much use.

No in-line volume control or mute. No detachable mic.

Other Thoughts: I've owned this headset for probably 4+ years. I think it was the second headset I ever bought for $20. For $20 it's worth it. For $40, I'd look at something else in the price range. Since then, I've moved on to Creative Fatal1ty (recommended), Razer Carcarias (comfortable), Audio-Technica ATH-M50 (fantastic), Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro (superb). The last two aren't headsets but headphones, I used a mic attached. I recommend the Creative if you are on a budget (should be around same price range as these) or the other headphones for well just headphones.

2 out of 5 eggsNot really happy

Pros: They work as advertised.

Cons: Cable shorted at the base of the earphone connection already!

Other Thoughts: These things have been BABY handled and still shorted out at the connection point.

I only hope KOSS honors their 1 year warranty....

5 out of 5 eggs100 ohm

Pros: Awesome for the price.

Cons: Mic is average at best.

Other Thoughts: This is a 100 ohm headset. You need more than onboard motherboard sound to push these headphones. If you don't have a dedicated soundcard with a headphone amp, they'll sound thin and weak. Although, if you've got the power to push them, they sound awsome for the money.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: Worked right on plug-in. Sound is about what I expected for the price. Not the best headset I have owned but it will do the job. 8' cord is great.

Cons: Does not sync to aftermarket Dolby Digital USB.

2 out of 5 eggsWorst headset for gaming out there

Pros: Low price, lightweight so it's easy to throw into the trash

Cons: These SUCK. They are listed as Circumaural -- LIE. They do NOT have some necessary gaming features -- no clip to attach to shirt, no mute, no volume control on cable (or on individual ears for that matter), their upper range is VERY low volume and the bass resolution is sorely lacking. Finally, when, after owning them for LESS than a month, and the jack started stripping, I was told, TOO BAD. NEVER buying Koss again.
