Features: Nintendo 3DS includes two screens. The bottom touch screen makes use of a telescoping stylus that is stored in the unit itself. The top screen displays 3D visuals to the naked eye. Looking at the screen is like peering through a window into a world where characters and objects have true depth. Stays connected to Wi-Fi even in sleep mode Gives the heads up that the 3-D feature can be quit hazardous to certain people. (Heed this warning) Lastly the newer look makes it look more sleek Cons: The 3-D feature of this can really hurt your eyes if you are looking at it for too long. Super Mario 3D Land is awesome, and pretty much one of the few reasons I'd consider getting one for myself. Cheap entertainment for the retro gaming adults and goofy game loving kids in the family. Tons of available accessories. A good number of great games are available right now. Xmas is easy this year. Cons: Power socket is a little loose. This is possibly to alleviate damage from clumsy individuals tripping on the power cord. It clicks in, but has a bit of wiggle, almost too much in my opinion. I'll keep an eye on it. No included USB charging/transfer cable (to charge from a JuiceBox or USB car charger). This would also be helpful to manage data on the 3DS internal storage as well as the SD card without having to either remove the SD card, or use other means to gain access to the internal storage (game saves). Yeah, I know, piracy concerns... USB charge cables can be found (I picked one up for ~$8.00 elsewhere) and a card reader is cheap (I payed ~$2.00 for mine), but it's just more junk on the desk/in drawers. I'm still not convinced that 3D ANYTHING is more than a gimmick at the moment. It looks OK in some games, in others it's just irritating. Other Thoughts: Jump on this if you are a retro fan, have kids, or just need to kill some time on business trips (and a certain "angry fowl" game on your phone just isn't cutting it for the 10,000,000th time). For the money, you can't go wrong with the entertainment value for the whole family. The kids love it (Pokemon White and Black), the wife loves it (Mario everything), and I find it to be acceptable (I'll play whatever is in reach). Last but not least; find a good case for your 3DS.
