2 out of 5 eggsNot recommended.

Pros: It was good while it lasted I suppose. 02/12 - 11/13. Luckily for me I was able to get most of my data off of it before it died.

Cons: Limited life span. 30 day warranty. Too expensive when I bought it for the quality of the product.

Other Thoughts: Lost a lot of pictures and videos to this card backup often as you can.

5 out of 5 eggsA year and a half and still going

Pros: I bought 2 of this on March 2012. It's November 2013 and they are still my work horse for HD Video on my DSLRs (Nikon D7000 and Panasonic GH2 at High Bit rates)

I won't bore you with technical statistics. Just know that I use them for hours every week on video shootings only. I interchange them among cameras with no problem.

    Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I don't give them any special treat, they go from my camera to my Macbook Pro over and over.
    Perhaps I'm just lucky (twice)

I'll go for two more now.

    1 out of 5 eggsPLEASE DON'T BUY

Pros: No Pros. Defective upon arrival. Was unable to even get through one photoshoot before the thing quit on me. Contacts were dirty, had to reseat in camera multiple times to be recognized. Will never buy this brand again. I take pictures professionally and this wasted my time.

Cons: QUALITY CONTROL, DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, BAD REVIEWS.

Other Thoughts: NEXT TIME I'LL SPEND TWICE AS MUCH TO BUY SOMETHING BETTER

1 out of 5 eggsPoor product quality matches Customer Service

    Pros: High Memory Capacity

Cons: Product Longevity, Quality, Online Resolutions, Customer Service, Cost.

Other Thoughts: I received this card last Christmas. I used it to maybe 1/4 of its capacity before copying out the contents. I then shot more pictures including graduation photos in May. Then I was shooting video for a project when the card failed. I have exhausted all recovery efforts for the grad pictures and just wanted the card replaced. Though a gift I have the receipt. I started contacting Pretec in June. Then I moved and began contacting them again. I contacted Newegg and because it was past 30 days I was out of luck. They suggested I contact Pretec the same way I already had. The card has a one year warranty for the problem, but it seems they are trying to make me run past that deadline before they even return a single email or call. I have researched this issue and it is very, very common. I can understand issues. I know I am not getting some pictures back. I just want a replacement. The total cost back in Nov was $96.51 after taxes and shipping. The price has come down a lot, but for what it cost. I paid about $1.50 a day for the use of this one. NOT buying Pretec again. Just Terrible. Newegg answered all emails promptly but the warranty is not covered through them. Pretetc has never answered despite numerous attempts to contact them through all sources they have listed.

    1 out of 5 eggsSeems great, but . . .

    Pros: *Cost
    *Card Size
    *Class 16

Cons: Failed after two months - cuts out after a few seconds of recording! My sandisk class 4 SD cards are reliable than this card!

Other Thoughts: Save your money and buy a more reliable name brand!

    1 out of 5 eggsHorrible bug-fest

Pros: The pinwheel is really pretty the first 100 times you see it

Cons: I've tried this card in three readers:
    External
    Built into Macbook Pro
In the camera (5D Mk III) with the camera plugged in via USB

It frequent will stall out and pin-wheel-of-death on you while importing, that's if it decides to show up in finder at all

1 out of 5 eggsCard Fail

Pros: Write speed was adequate for my 5D Mark III

Cons: Card failed after single use

Other Thoughts: Filled up this card once with HD video from my 5D Mark III. Luckily I had already copied all my data to a backup drive before the card failed. Failed to format or quite simply do anything... I would recommend avoiding the temptation to save some $$$ and instead upgrade to a more reliable trustworthy brand. I have personally had a flawless experience with the SanDisk cards, which I purchased immediately after returning this one.

5 out of 5 eggsMeasuring speed accurately

Pros: Should be good for HD recording in most video cameras

Cons: These cards all cost too much !

Other Thoughts: ATTO benchmark software uses highly compressible data to give you a best-case measurement of read and write speeds. However, HD video is not highly compressible; therefore, ATTO results may be somewhat optimistic. Probably better to use Crystal Disk Mark software (also a free download) to test the speed.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Good

Pros: Bought for a new Canon T3i. Worked on first insertion. Speed performance in camera appears good. Have had no problems.

Cons: Not really a con - Needed to buy a new external card reader for SDXC. Older readers will not recognize.

4 out of 5 eggsSpeedy Card, Good Price

Pros: Large capacity, you can dump an entire blu-ray to this with space to space. One of the fastest SDXC cards i've used especially in this price range.

Cons: It's not 128GB, See other Thoughts Below

Other Thoughts: Have had issues with my MBP not recognizing this card on first insert and occasionally randomly ejects. after some serious google i've found this is not a fault of the card as it is with some kind of issue with the reader and cards of these speeds in some of the more recent MBP's. Had an old SD to USB flash stick around popped it in there there and have had it recognized every time.
