Other Thoughts: I have had this unit for about a month and it stopped playing music through the Ipod dock. The FM radio still plays through the speakers and the Ipod still charges through the docking connector. But, the Ipod can't play music. Altec Lansing customer service stated that the docking connector is not covered under the warranty. Meanwhile, a number of complaints are already on the Altec Lansing blog for the same problem! Recharges the pod if needed. Has 3.5mm aux input. These pre-airplay units sell for cheap these days. Sounds great in the kitchen. Cons: Dock is a little cumbersome (30 pin extension cable helps). Bass is lacking and no software compensation like other brands (mega bass) Other Thoughts: I bought it to use with the treadmill and stuff and while there is plenty of volume I will be using the aux jack from now on since I can Y off a 3.5mm analog, convert one side to mono then feed it to an old 6" Yamaha sub (when the splitter gets here). 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful. techtrickster 1/17/2013 8:58:29 PM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 2/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 4/5pretty good Pros: - speakers fill large living room with plenty of volume without distortion - easy to operate remote - added new life to an old ipod touch which has a damaged headphone jack - good sound from a medium size battery powered portable device Cons: - comes with a few plastic inserts for various iphone/ipod's mine was not included Other Thoughts: - while my particular plastic insert was not included my ipod still sits well on the device when attached to the 30 pin connector - i intend to try this outside while grilling and while camping when the weather is nicer 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.
