Cobra Iradar iRad 950 Atom Radar Detector
The Cobra iRadar ATOM radar detector—along with your iPhone or iPod touch and the iRadar app—lets you take advantage of a community of detectors for accurate alerts about safety and enforcement threats on roads all around. Incorporating Cobra's highest-performing and most compact detection technology, iRadar ATOM's Bluetooth connectivity turns your iPhone into the detector's display, giving you warnings of upcoming red light and speed cameras.

The connection to your iPhone provides access to the iRadar Community. Community members can report and warn other users of live police, caution areas, and photo enforcement areas. In addition, when an iRadar detects a radar or laser alert it automatically shares this data with the rest of the iRadar Community. Now you can rely on a real-time network of detectors for superior situational awareness while you're driving.

Pairing on an S5 was rather easy and the app works with google maps for gps display of the sensor hit. Network logging of marked sensor hits to benefit all that use the app even without the unit which helps the community. Cons: App could use more integration with google maps like poi's. Kind of senseless to run google maps in the foreground while running iradar in the background when the app itself uses the mapping software and can easily obtain poi's. Other Thoughts: This product is great, works as a standalone detector and along with the app provides a powerful network to help drivers. App itself could use improvement, seems rather cheap in comparison to other apps similar in build and has very few options. Would love to see updates to allow for more options/functions like dash cam functions or options to change themes and add poi's to round out the mapping side. Negative one egg for less than expected app functionality and options. Negative another egg for cost to value due to lack of any good features outside of marking sensor hits. The retail value of these things is insane for what little is offered when paired to a device. your actually just updating the community and not doing much more than that. Purchasing a standard detector and using other apps for gps/location marking of emergency vehicles would be far more cost effective until the software is made to fit the costs of the unit its made for. 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful.
