5 out of 5 eggsQuality Design

Pros: Well thought out design well executed.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: If your front seat has an easy access center bolt then install will be very easy.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for me

Pros: Very sturdy and holds my Toshiba netbook (which is on the large side for a netbook but still smaller than many laptops) just fine. It has a decent range of adjustment for position and I was able to get my mount to hold my computer where it can see and use it easily.

Remember to look at the pictures and description, this model doesn't have the pan/tilt head so to adjust some angles you have to swivel the whole thing on it's floor mount lug.

That floor mount lug is quite substantial.

The joints and quick release levers seem to be very sturdy. It looks like it's built to last.

Very easy to dismount for the (in my case rare) passenger's comfort. Can also easily be positioned to allow the passenger to operate whatever you have attached to this mount.

For my purposes the device retention is excellent, it fits very tight and solid. If I were to get in an accident that would damage the mount/device it would be a bad enough accident that those would be the least of my concerns.

Cons: None. I don't see any design flaws, material inadequacies or workmanship problems at all. It looks to be very well made.

Other Thoughts: Take a look at where your seat mounts are if you intend to use this by attaching it to a seat mount bolt. The fork that goes between the seat mount bolt's nut and the mount/floor/whatever is too short to work in my vehicle but I already KNEW that when I ordered this mount. In my opinion this is not a con because if it were longer it would be less stable.

I drilled a hole in the floor and got a great big bolt with the proper washers and lock washers to stabilize everything solid. It's out of the way for a passenger when the mount is detached.

I have an SUV with a LOT of electronics gear in it. Including ham radios, CB, MP3 players, scanner, cell phone booster, etc. There are 8 antennas on the vehicle. It's always problematic finding a place to mount something new where it will be functional, not distract my driving, and not obstruct something else. This mount replaces a cheaper mouth that didn't work nearly as well.

I'm very happy with this mount overall.

5 out of 5 eggsthanks, works well

Pros: sturdy, low cost, works well

Cons: not really any cons

Other Thoughts: in a perfect world, i would like to see a universal clamp to secure this holder stand to a generic part of the car. having a screw clamp is nice, but my very old seats dont permit the bolt/clamp assembly well. small potatoes

5 out of 5 eggsNice in Jeep

Pros: Fits nicely in my 2008 Jeep JK Wrangler with automatic transmission. I have used it for a very small laptop but mostly for my ASUS TF101 Tablet, which fits very nicely on this stand. It makes a great navigation system out of a tablet computer.

This is very easy to remove without tools, while leaving the mounting post attached to the seat bolt. Nice quality construction and materials. Nice fit and finish. Easily swivels to the driver or passenger view. When installed, the passenger is not crowded. Even my wife didn't complain about it.

I can also swivel the tablet so that the screen faces the passenger door, which almost completely gets it out of the way.

Any trip that I take more than 150 miles one way, this mount and my tablet will be along for the ride.

Cons: It's obvious, but: DO NOT OPERATE DEVICES WHILE DRIVING. Have your passenger do that or pull off the road.

Other Thoughts: I used a breaker bar and 18mm socket to loosen the bolt that holds the front passenger seat in place. I installed the mounting post on that bolt and then tightened it. I positioned the stand so that the post rests between the seat and the center console so it does not wiggle.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your money.

Pros: None

Cons: Weak,

Other Thoughts: This is a waste of money, I install 1 day and take it out because it just doesn't right on my 13" sony laptop. If I want to return this you have to go to another vender , instead of newegg. dont' waste your money here.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for Ipad, little light for laptop

Pros: Works very well for Ipad.
Comes with two mounting bases so I was able to install in car and motor home.
Very flexible when adjusting, then locks up in adjusted position and stays where I want it.

Cons: A little wobbly but if you lean it against some part of the car it is better.
I tried putting my laptop on it. It seemed like the weight was a bit much. Also, I could not find any way to arrange things where the laptop was not in the way.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Product

Pros: Should handle any 15.6" notebook or smaller.

Cons: Wish it rotated at the top left and right, but that may be on the next model higher.

Blocks one cup holder completely, the other partially.

I don't think a passenger would be comfortable with it installed

Other Thoughts: Great product for the price. Installed in a 2010 Ford Expedition EL. You will need two large washers under the mount to bolt the seat and hold the mount.

5 out of 5 eggsVery easy to install and sturdy

Pros: - Very easy install. Just one bolt.
- Extremely adjustable.
- Very sturdy.

Cons: - Vibrates while driving. It seems like normal road noise but I am considering purchasing a support brace from Bracketron and seeing if that stops some of the motion.
