An ideal Birthday, housewarming or Christmas gift for any Harry Potter fan, the Wand Remote Control will have friends and family spellbound as you zap to Eastenders with a flick of the wrist. Not worth the effort
Pros: Cute idea, might be impressive to children
Cons: Too long to learn, movements have to be too precise and it will not control multiple pieces of equipment such as AV, TV and Satellite receiver
Other Thoughts: This needs some sort of wirelss connection so hou canprogram it with a computer rather than having to sit around waving a wand and counting all kinds of pulses. Spend your money on a universal remote and you will be happier.

Pros: 1. Works with my magnavox blu-ray player, Sony LED TV, Insignia TV, and my old Tube TV
Cons: 1. It can take up to 30 minutes to fully program the wand
Other Thoughts: While it can take a while to setup the wand initially, the novelty of using the wand to control your TV is worth the effort. The wand is easy to operate and the only problem I have had with the wand triggering a control when I don't want it to is the rotate function which isn't a big deal if you set it to volume or something that doesn't really matter if it is changes very slightly. In the same regard I have never had the remote not register a control I was telling to use.

Pros: Unique gift, seamingly good quality.
Cons: Price for a novelty item. This is a simple remote control. We paused over the price point. Ended up splitting th cost with friends for a BD gift.
Other Thoughts: Bought as a gift. I do not know how easy it was to program or how well it worked.

Nice novelty gift.
Pros: Easy to "teach" the control codes to the wand.
Cons: Quickly becomes an annoyance to use.
Other Thoughts: Bought this for my fiancé since she loves Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and all things fantasy.

Unicorn Hair is the secret!
Pros: Wonderfully versatile, thought I still haven't gotten the big swoosh to work. Sensitive feedback of the unicorn hair leaves kids in awe. I run a small family friendly inn. the Plastic nature means I have to keep it locked up from the mudbloods, some of whom try to impress me with their Universal Studio bought wands. A sample incantation guide would be good for us lacking on imagination. Electronicus Onicus works well enough...but channelus uppicus? Please...
Cons: Something with a unicorn hair core should be encased in titatium or something other than plastic.
Other Thoughts: Have been thinking about acquiring a Nimbus 2000.
