3 out of 5 eggsDecent for the price

Pros: Easy to connect. Sound quality is great.

Cons: Cheaply made headset and kind of flimsy. Requires carefully twisting so it actually rests on your ear comfortably. With a full charge it will power itself off at random times, including in the middle of a call. Battery doesn't last long. Ear pad piece keeps falling off.

Other Thoughts: It has served its purpose for the price paid. It has gotten to where I can only make a single 30 minute phone call before having to recharge the battery again, so this will be replaced with something of higher quality with a replaceable battery.

One could easily remove the three screws and replace the internal battery with a matching version (or larger capacity) from FleaBay. I've done this in the past with other devices, but I'm not that attached to this flimsy headset. I would rather give it away and buy something of better quality.

4 out of 5 eggsupdate - it works. sound isn't bad but pairing is still annoying

Pros: - fairly comfortable (if you like how the xbox 360 headset feels anyway)
- sound is pretty good on smartphone (on PC, I had issues with poor quality but it may have been due to my BT receiver)
- no wires

Cons: - Documentation is bad

- Pairing is annoying and not properly documented - you need to have it plugged in to a wall charger or pc and then hold down the function button for ~8sec. It should make a different beep and blink blue and red. At this point you should be able to see it as "BTH-068" from the device you are pairing with.

- I didn't care about this bc it would have driven up the price... but it may be worth noting that this does NOT come with its own BT receiver.

- the other minor annoyances from my previous review aren't that bad, but still may be worth noting.

Other Thoughts: Apparently Newegg still hasn't gotten around to adding an "Edit" feature to reviews (or else the option is nicely hidden lol).

Anyway, I wanted to update my earlier review... I still can't bring myself to give 5 eggs because of the issues mentioned earlier -- having to have it plugged in/charging to be able to detectable by other devices is pretty annoying, even worse that it is not documented that I could find. However, I will give it 4 to average things out a little better from my last review.

However, I have been able to connect it with both PC and smartphone. Sound quality was actually pretty good with my smartphone (samsung note 2) -- to the point where I am considering using that as my main BT while at home. Many of the BT earpieces I've always used in the past (currently a Moto CommandOne) all seem to enhance certain types of background noise such as running water or handling plastic bags and make them very loud and painful to whoever I'm talking to (even when I try to be quiet about it). This headset does NOT seem to have that problem (maybe it is the foam covering around the mic?).

I will say that the audio quality on my PC didn't sound good at all, but to be fair I was using some cheapo chinese USB-to-BT dongles I got for a buck or two...

1 out of 5 eggsdoesnt work...avoid

Pros: - price

- physically similar to xbox 360 headset except that it is wireless, metal instead of plastic, bluetooth, volume up/down buttons on the headset

-you do not have to remove the removeable ear cushion/pad in order to charge

Cons: - not immediately obvious how to connect/pair the thing (I've owned many, many bluetooth headsets and never had to consult the directions before this... usually I just turned it on and it works out of the box). I trtied against both my phone and my pc, both of which have had other blue tooth devices connect without issues.

- after consulting the directions, i found that they were poorly written (as in bad English, and bad directions, use of acronyms with defining them, etc).

- (minor) cheap earpiece (not bad, but you get what you pay for). Note that the ear pad "clips" into place except that it does so weakly at best. It did have more padding compared to xbox 360 one, but personally i preferred the x360 headset's earpiece (felt better to me and didn't have to worry about it falling off)

- (minor) included cable is the older mini-USB rather than micro-USB. not too big a deal, but I would have rather been able to charge it off the same cable I use for my phone

Other Thoughts: - includes a small user guide which is very poorly written and next to useless

- also includes a (3 ft ?) USB to mini-USB (the old one, rather than the newer micro-USB)

note: if I am able to get it workiing i will try to update on how and what the sound quality is like.
