Greatly reduced my PS3 original fatty (20 gig version) suddenly shutting itself down when playing COD zombies which had started occurring recently. Cons: The increase of fan noise is noticeable. Not a big deal for a hard core gamer but might annoying the home theater snobs but then since they rarely stress their PS3s they don't need anyway. Did you find this review helpful? Other Thoughts: I guess I thought it was supposed to snap into place. It seems that the only thing holding it in place is the USB connection. It's possible I did not hook it up correctly.
