2 out of 5 eggsWouldn't boot.

Pros: *The card was recognized when plugged into a Windows PC.
*It clearly had 6 operating systems pre-installed.
*After some effort I got it to properly work (read other thoughts).

Cons: *It wouldn't boot in its current state on a Raspberry Pi B+ model.
*It took a while to properly rule out faulty hardware/peripherals as I got the dual red and green light error on the device.
*You have to manually fix the boot data.

Other Thoughts: The problem is outdated boot data/.bin files. To fix the problem you'll have to download the NOOBs zip file from the raspberry pi website. Delete the Raspbian OS from the SD card since the zip will have the newest version. After unzipping, copy and replace everything from the zip file to the SD card. Finally the card booted, displaying options for installing all 6 OSs. If you encounter this problem I hope this helps.

3 out of 5 eggsGood for backups

Pros: It works.

Cons: Shipping speed was fine but the packaging could have been better. The card was enclosed in the standard plastic micro SD card case and was shipped in a flat cardboard envelope. It was apparent that the envelope had went through some kind of roller due to the condition of the package.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat place to start for 'NOOBS'

Pros: Don't need to worry about potential caveats that come with downloading from the 'interwebz'

Cons: This card comes with several operating systems ready to be installed. When you choose an operating system, it overwrites everything else on the card. Make sure you back up the contents before you do an install.

5 out of 5 eggsTo David D.

Pros: The card does everything as advertized both on newegg and on raspberry pi's site.

Cons: Could have included a BSD or other non-Linux based OS :)

Other Thoughts: David D... your section about the 10/100 Ethernet being too slow for mkv but not mp4 makes no sense, they're just containers anyways that can hold pretty much the same thing. It's most likely your powerline adapter is experiencing too much interference. Either way the card does what it says and the rest of the talk about video playback is irrelevant (P.S. there's 2 USB ports as well *hint hint* :) )

5 out of 5 eggsIt works as a PC or a media center!

Pros: Booted right away. Choose from 6 OSs. I first chose the recommended one. I got online, checked gmail, etc. It looks a lot like Windows, but slower. Wouldn't play my movies.

I want to use it as a media player in the living room, so I read more about the Pi OSs, and found that some are purely meant to be used for media servers, and the one that's supposed to work with no hiccup is RaspBMC, and it's a choice on this card. Voila!

I rebooted and installed RaspBMC and it works over my network with .mp4 files from a storage drive on my main PC.

The lesson is that you need two of these cards if you want to switch between 2 OSs. Just change the card. Takes too long to reinstall OSs. My second one should arrive today in the mail.

On this 8GB card, I had more than 4GB open after installing each of the 2 OSs I tried. Basically, there's a partition on the card. One has the 6 OSs. The other becomes the drive for the Pi using the OS you choose, deleting all other data in this partition with each OS installation. If you don't like one OS, try another.

Cons: Slow 10/100 network connection is is too slow for streaming .mkv files, only .mp4.

RaspBMC took forever to install and update. A couple of hours. Twice, actually after I stupidly switched back to the recommended OS to see if I messed up in some way. I think RaspBMC is so new that it takes 1.2 gazillion updates and patches to properly install. Don't lose hope. Read a book.

Other Thoughts: The Pi's network connection is through a 500Mbs TP-LINK TL-PA511KIT power line adapter. Plenty fast, so that's not the streaming .mkv problem.

My only concern, not yet a "Con", is the speed of this card. I'd want a 10, but it's not marked.
