-Notable performance and stability using an AMD 990FX solution.

Cons: LED function display control-Crucial Tactical Tracers provide user level access and control of the LED lighting via the Ballistix Mod Utility. In contrast, Avexir does not have this feature.

Other Thoughts: The product is uniquely attractive particularly when the performance and overall visual quality of the product is considered. I also own Crucial Ballistix Tracers, and Geil Black Dragons both featuring LED display lighting design elements, both great options.

Similar to the quality control procedures used by Geil and reportedly Kingston (Die Hard Burn-in type), Avexir claims to test each and every DRAM component which are then mounted to server grade PCB’s.

The company also employs current resistance optimizations and provides these desirable manufacturing methods in a consumer-priced package which may prove advantageous for "overclocking", or may render the practice unnecessary for most users.

Pros: Achieved Cas9 (9-9-9-24) on this memory on XMP settings, With 2T command rate on a 2600k with p67 motherboard.

Rock stable memory, great performance.

Pros: Worked first time out of the box. BIOS read them and set them correctly. I am running 8 sticks and no problems on Asus rampage iv extreme mb

Cons: heat sinks look like they are not attatched well, but closer look verifies they are fine. Excess glue on all 8 sticks

Pros: Great sticks of ram for the price and helps to light up the case with the pulsating LEDs.

Cons: Cheaply assembled and poorly shipped. When the package arrived the casing on one of the sticks was cracked. Two of the other three had glue peeling from where the casing was sealed together.

Other Thoughts: Despite the cons, it's been a few weeks now and they work perfectly! I would recommend these as a cheap alternative as opposed to G.skills.

Pros: Superior quality, as promised by the manufacturer. The only DDR3 1600 8GB kits passed all the rigorous buin-in tests on my E3 Xeon Thinkstation. The blue light on each SIMM grows according to the data access. It is fun to watch how a program access its data across the memory banks. It actually can be used as a simple tool to trace which bank/SIMM is not stable on a machine.

Cons: The two heat sinks on each side of a DIMM are not attached tightly as they should be. I almost wanted to return the kit when I opened the box and saw this. But a close examination reveals that all the SDRAM chips are actually adhered to the thermal pads firmly and heat dissipation should work as designed. I finally used two small pieces of tape at the ends of the SIMM to tie the two heat sinks together. It is a shame that the mechanical people who designed the heat sink at Avexir did not do a good job, given that the quality of the SIMM itself is superior.

Other Thoughts: I was hesitated to buy it because never used any product from this brand before. I had tried six different DDR3 1600 8GB SDRAM kits from big-name brands like Corsair and Crucial, and none of them passed all the memory burn-in tests on a Lenovo E30 Thinkstation. Out of desperation, I gave Avexir a try. The kit worked right out of the box and passed all the burn-in tests for 24 hours! Encouraged by the result, I overclocked it on a X79 board and it still passed all the tests easily with 10% of memory overclocking.
