5 out of 5 eggsGreat ram , works as specified

Pros: Popped it into the MSI Z87 MPower and booted right up, then enabled XMP profile and it runs perfect at rated speed.

Cons: Haven't tried to turn off the blue lights, not really a con though

2 out of 5 eggsNot even close to... only 2000/2800

Pros: Rated to DDR3 2800
Blue flashing lights; if you are so inclined for show.

Cons: $$$257.39 back in June2012.
Now it's even more @$279.00 less 7% from $299.00
Could only reach DDR3 2000! (!) I couldn't even load the XMP 1.3 Profile into the Motherboard. NOT SO WORTH IT!!! IMO
Can't turn off the Blue lights if you wanted to. (In fairness, there may be a way to, but I never spent the time to as I was too busy trying to reach the published speed of DDR3 2800.

Other Thoughts: When I purchased this in June of 2012, it was for $257.39. At that time there were no verified motherboard list from Avexir/Newegg; now (MAY2013) there are a total of 4 verified motherboards on the list. 3 from Asus, 1 from Asrock:
- ASUS R.O.G. Maximus V Gene
- ASUS R.O.G. Maximus V Formula
- ASUS ROG Maximus V Extreme
- Asrock Z77 OC Formula

Unfortunately, my motherboard of choice at that time was the ASRock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional-M as I was doing CAD, Video rendering, Audio Post and gaming on the side between home and work and was shuttling my gear with me and it had to be luggable. I used a 3770K for CPU, coupled to a Corsair H60 and just recently, a SeaSonic SS-860XP2 (Mistakenly called here as Model #: Platinum-860
Item #: N82E16817151111).

Overclocking is a breeze with this board, as long as you stay away from the F-Tune utility and go UEFI instead. Out of the box it hits 4700Mhz by just Enabling the Advance Turbo 30 in the OC Tweaker Tab of the UEFI! With a couple additional tweaks 5000+Mhz is doable but not recommended for CPU longevity unless you really know what you're doing.

All this time the Avexir memory is only able to hit 2000 max. Manually setting DRAM config to 12-14-14-35 (1.65-1.75v) yielded no improvement in the results, just failed boots any setting above 2000 (1:10)

I cannot recommend this product unless it is for the now available list of verified motherboards. I also recently found an approved memory list for the Fatal1ty Z77 Professional-M and will use those instead if I can find a good price since I'm already out $~260.

So I'm left here with 3 premium items: CPU, Motherboard and Memory. CPU & Motherboard works together beautifully but not with the Memory. My options are:
1) Keep the CPU and Motherboard and get an Intel XMP/ASRock verified 2800 memory from the list.
2) Keep the CPU and memory and get a verified motherboard from the list of four boards.
3) Keep the current setup (no money spent) and just bear with the 2000 speed until the UEFI bios gets updated favorably.
