Pros: Ceramic Sharp (super sharp), Handles are a nice hard no slip rubber and very durable. People that cry about the handles or the Holder are nuts. The handles are designed for slicing, the holder allows you to carefully slide in each ceramic knife individually as the holders are on a pivot and each one is separate. These are super sharp knifes.

Cons: They are ceramic, inspect your blade before using. My 2 large blades were faulty, but the company replaced them right away. Again, they are super sharp, so be very careful with them. They are also ceramic, so you don't want to just toss them into your sink or dishwasher. That could shatter them or chip blades. From steaks to tomatoes these things cut stuff like a hot knife through warm butter.

Other Thoughts: Wish there were 2 smaller blades.

Pros: These are incredibly sharp, durable Knifes. The people posting about the handle, have clearly never owned a good knife. it is of rubber material, and shaped in a manner to allow cutting properly. It is very duable, and the holder is awsome. I do now know why people are knitpicking these specific issues. What, do they want a block of wood to slide their ceramic blades into? I think not!! One of my blades was chipped on the large knife. After contacting the seller (as this is a marketplace item) they offered to ship just the blade I was having problems with as a replacement. This seller gets an A+++.

Cons: Wish it was a set of 5 as these are fantastic knifes! Careful not to cut yourself!

Pros: I purchased the 4 piece set 3 months ago. The very 1st thing I noticed was how sharp they were. Next was tasting what I sliced. It tasted without the metal taste I was so used to. They are somewhat fragile and care not to abuse them on hard surfaces like stone counter tops or metal which can chip the blade.

Cons: need care not to damage, drop, etc.

Other Thoughts: I suppose a diamond sharpening stone would be required to sharpen them.

Pros: Sharp and look nice, cool holder, not the typical wooden block. Wife loves the handles, says that is the best part.

Cons: Not the typical Newegg experience, Slooooow shipping at least an additional week. I've become accustomed to the 2-3 day delivery and this took 2 full weeks. There was no mention of any addition processing / shipping time.

Pros: Very sharp, stylish. My mom loved these when I gave them to her for christmas. Got them for cheap as well.

Cons: Smallest knife holder is not a secure fit, no big deal though.

Pros: Sharp!! Very sharp knives. Also supposed to hold the edge nearly indefinitely. A great slicing knife.

Lightweight. Holding these knives for extended periods is much easier than traditional steel.

Quality construction: These knives are well made and have comfortable handles. Good quality overall for the price.

Cons: Brittle! One of my knives is already missing its very tip. Not a big deal to me, but its evidence of how brittle the knives are. Dropping them won't shatter the blade or anything, but it will dull them. As will cutting through hard frozen food, or bones.

Other Thoughts: I will look to own both stainless steel as well as ceramic knives in the future. They both have pros and cons and their uses overlap, but they are each better at different things.
