I have a 17 inch laptop that generates a lot of heat when running graphic intensive software (videos, online gaming). I don't use it much for these sort of applications, but when I do the temperatures rise rapidly to 60C-90C plus (too hot to touch let alone set on your lap). The pad delays this rise, absorbing a lot of the heat and dissipating it passively (read that "noiselessly"). The material is fibrous and does absorb a lot of heat, and has held up as a continuous pad under the laptop for two months with essentially no wear. I'm impressed and will probably order a few more to pass out to friends/relatives that have similar issues. Cons: None that I can report 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Did you?
