Makes a great accent light. Not too large and construction of the remote and bulb seem upper mid range. Recommended for accent lights, not task lighting. Might be a good solution for a photography dark room. Cons: Remote wont work past 5-7 feet. Color switching is random, so multiple light bulbs wont sync (theory). Light bulb is not very bright. On its white setting and its brightest you cannot read to this light if its on a nightstand (2-3ft distance). You might be able to with the blue light on as the blue led's seem to be the brightest of the colors. Other Thoughts: I personally use this as a night light. Works perfectly for that solution.
