Pros: Metal construction and a tight enough mechanism to prevent slippage of the measurement device. Returns to a solid 0.0 mm, even from wider measurements ... very important if needing to perform multiple measurements without a reset at the zero position. Extra battery included. Excellent buy for the money, even when not on sale.

Cons: Case is cheaply made with no foam for better protection of the calipers during storage.

Other Thoughts: Go ahead and buy these if you need a good digital calipers for hope or at the factory/lab. Not a big name brand, but very good quality at a great price.

Pros: Accurate, repeatable, easy to use, metric and inch measurements.

Cons: The battery is the biggest "con". I finally switched to the 357 battery rather than the LR44, because the LR44 becomes unreliable or fails far too quickly. The tool is also a bit delicate. The display can be cracked or scratched easily, and the battery cover is not sealed.

Other Thoughts: This is a recommended tool. It is far more accurate and repeatable than my other calipers. I wish it was sturdier and had a more secure battery cover. I wish it would tell me screw sizes but the functions it does offer are fine for the price. Use the good batteries (357 style).

Cons: Steel is a bit soft and must be handled with caution.

Other Thoughts: I have 6 pairs of these calipers as well as several high priced name brand calipers. Some over 20 years old. With proper handling these calipers can last for years. They provide inside, outside and depth measurements. But do not drop or handle them too roughly. Do not bend, over pressure, use in an abrasive environment or allow them to be immersed in water. They will fail. But treated as a fine instrument you will do OK. .001" tolerance is easily achieveable with repeatability and with a delicate feel perhaps .0005. For this price you will be well pleased. You can keep the rail nick free with a light stoning with a white hard arkansas stone or ruby stone and very light oil. Also keep the adjustment screws set for snug but smooth operation. Do not ding the inside measurement points. They are eaily bent. Silver Oxide (357) batteries last MUCH longer than the alkaline (LR44). I have been doing fine tool work for 41 years so this ain't my first rodeo folks. Enjoy.

Pros: This is a very nice unit and an excellent buy for the price. It has a nice feel to it and a "heft" that has a real quality feel to it. Having used many other calipers that cost much more, I am very pleased with this one and am impressed with it's quality.
